I had money on the phils tonight. Perfect example of why I don't like betting on baseball.

    What a road trip.

great come from behind win! called the Howard shot right before he hit (swear to god!) got a little nervous at the end, not because of Lidge just cuz it was at Colorado. Glad the Braves lost! :D

yeah, not even howard's atrocious defense can stop this team right now (just brutal last night...esp the play in the bottom of the ninth)

also, howard has 3 hits in his last 5 games (3 for his last 21 ABs). a couple of dongs, but let's not get carried away with him being out of his slump.

great road trip and now they are well positioned to grab a playoff spot. the goal should still be to win the division so they get home field in round 1.

Heading down to the game tonight...finally get to see someone besides blanton pitch

MLB changed the playoff schedule so teams won't be able to get away with using 3 SPs in 7 game series this year.

This would be known as the "2009 Yankees" rule.

I said 22 wins would get the division for the Phils before the San Diego series. 16 more to go.

Awesome game for Hollywood. I think he looks better than he's ever looked before. And that little scruff makes him look a little intimidating (well, maybe not) - maybe he's priming for another bar fight (uh oh).

Dog looked great in the 9th, but still gave us a heartattack with that Prince flyout. He's a great closer until there are 2 outs, then all bets are off.

I would bitch about scoring just 1 run off Jeff Suppan, but I'll just be happy with the win. :)

Cards announcers on MLB - wishing random people in Illinois happy birthday. I miss Harry doing that. What a dropoff. Why can the Cardinals beat only the Reds, and no one else?

1 - hamels has been almost as good as halladay. I bet the people in this thread that bitched about him back in april/may feel pretty dumb

2 - the cards announcers are awful

    3 - jeff suppan?

4 - the phils bullpen has been a lot better recently, but I still have no confidence in them against decent teams. especially the lefties. I saw romero warming up in the 9th and I wanted to light myself on fire
