I meant it would be cool to catch the game at a pub up in Boston. Phillies & Sox fans would be cheering the same side for at least 90min. I'm with ya Cliffy, this game is fucking huge for the USA, and there is no way I would miss it. Are you going to all 3 games JP? The Phils have a 4:10 start on Saturday. Wonder when US vs England kicks off?

If the price of the tickets don't kill me, then yes, I'm in for the entire series. We're actually trying to see what the best course of action is - there's a slight chance we take my boat and sail up to Boston Harbor for a game and dock for the weekend, then sail down to NYC and catch a game there during the week, then sail back to Philly and be back in time for my Sunday ticket to the Twins series. Again, this is all dependent on a lot of shit, but would definitely be pretty freakin awesome.

I'm sorry, but I'm not a soccer fan. Never have, never will. And not just because I want to be spitefully ignorant to the sport. Love, love, love, LOVE, the rugby World Cup. Just can't get into the foosball. Probably will take in a Union game or two just because I like getting drunk at stuff.

ALSO, I think it'd be wise for everyone to hit up Reading this year for some R Phils action. Most of the players in the Lee trade we'll be there. Probably gonna go on a day that Aumont is starting, and plus with Brown there - since he'll be taking over for Werth in 2011. At least platooning.

Yeah, that's the one thing people aren't talking about. Unless the Phils raise their budget next year, this is Werth's last year in Philly.

Nah, I have a gut feeling he's a Red Sock for some reason. Crawford I think goes to the Yankees.

The only way I see Werth staying is if he's given like a 5 year deal with a lot of the money guaranteed to the back end of the contract. Oh, and if they start raising ticket/concession prices. I'd say there would be a chance with Raul gone after next year, but it don't look good.

27' Catalina(it's a sailboat). We've had since I was like 10. It really went into the the shitter the last few years, but it's become a little hobby of mine the past couple years to get it into stellar shape. The ideal plan is when I get done school to dock it up at The Piers and live on it. Save bookoo money.

Thats sweet dude. Yeah, I grew up around boats and they take a lot of maintenence to keep up with. My dad always wanted a sailboat but we had a 20' Bayliner and a 30' Sea Ray. He never got around to a sailboat but my parents moved south and I think he plans on buying one soon.

That is pretty awesome though. Would save a shit load of money and is a great hobby. You in grad school?

Nah, I'm a slacker. Never finished what I should have about 5 years ago. I'm back in West Chester U to finish up my bachelor's. Though when I'm done I plan to go onto grad school. I think it's the only way to get out from behind the 8 ball. Oh, and being a lifetime student keeps at least the mind young. I hear Drexel's Econ PhD program has a nice little chunk of stipend cash. So if I stay in the area, I think I may go with them down the line - collecting some nice little cash, pick up a little part time job, doing the grad school thing, and living on a boat, wouldn't be that bad with me. Well, except the winters.

Yeah, boats in general are constant upkeep, but I love the little boring things as much as the fun stuff people think of when around boats. That's why my dad doesn't mind me taking it over and living on it - 1. because it's coming out of my pocket & 2. my rent would be paying for the dockage. Where'd they move south to? Both those boats are nice too.

I hear you and if you are going to go back to grad school, i would definitely do it right away. I am trying to get the motivation to take the GMATs and i cant do it. Sounds like a pretty good plan you have though.

I love them, I could be out on the water forever.

They moved down to North Carolina, not too far south but still nice. They were sick of the upstate ny winters.

Raul is making a little over 12 mil next year as a 38 year old OF. If you can somehow deal him, the Phils can keep Werth, but if the 140 million payroll thing is firm that Montgomery said this year - the Phils won't be able to keep Werth.

They already have 132.7 million committed for 2011.

How does a team sellout a stadium before individual tickets go on sale? I can promise you that the Phillies have not sold out 73 games with just season tickets. Tickets have to be held back.

Just went on the Phillies site and Season Ticket Plans A,B,C and D all have good seats availalbe
