this was a big win today! What a game.

I literally did this  when I saw the grand slam, I was like oh crap, but we came back! Woo hoo!

I didn't like that Joe said on the post game that Mo 'wasn't available and wasn't quite right' I hope he is not hurt.

This is going to be a looong road trip.
    I hope it goes well.

Wild one today. Great comeback thanks to some resolve and some horrible defense by the Halos. Their defense was even worse than Abreu's base running. I'm so glad that play didn't cost us the game.

Geise was the hero. He kept them in check until we could finally get the offense going.

I wonder how long before Rasner is sent down. I like the guy and think he could eventually be a pretty good back of the rotation starter, but his days are numbered. Imagine if Hughes and Wang had stayed healthy. That woulda been quite a rotation. The question is do they stick with Rasner until Hughes is ready or do they bring back Kennedy.

Our old friend Farnsworth blew one in the 8th today. 3 earned runs against T-Bay. That's a game we don't pick up in the standings as the Rays won it in extra innings.

I know it will be a tough series in Anaheim. But it should be a good one.

Im just glad that we pretty much are the only team in baseball to have already locked up a playoff berth, so a lot of these games in essence dont really matter. Still like whoopin up on the Sox and the Yanks though :D

you have to be careful with wrapping up a playoff berth so early. It can be tough to "turn it back on" after playing a month or 2 of "meaningles" games. It would almost benefit them if one of dopes from the AL Worst got competitive

Yeah, who would have thought him blowing a save after we trade him would still cost us. I watched some of the end of that game. Percival got hit for T-Bay as well. Miquel Cabrera hit a MONSTER shot off him that hit one of the catwalks at The Ugly Dome in Tampa.

Pitching match ups for the Ranger series:

Monday: RHP Joba Chamberlain (4-3, 2.24) vs. RHP Vicente Padilla (12-5, 4.52), 8:05, YES

Tuesday: LHP Andy Pettitte (12-8, 4.18) vs. LHP Matt Harrison (2-2, 7.40), 8:05, YES

Wednesday: RHP Sidney Ponson (6-2, 4.23) vs. RHP Tommy Hunter (0-0, 10.80), 8:05, YES

Thursday: RHP Mike Mussina (14-7, 3.44) vs. RHP Scott Feldman (4-4, 4.97), 8:05, YES

I hope Hamilton doesn't go off too bad on us this series.

Hey, you guys want to see me get kicked out of Yankee Stadium? Life long Yankee fan, this is my first trip to Yankee stadium. It happened this spring - subway series. Yankees were getting blown out by the Mets, and this was the 7th inning stretch. As you'll hear me say in the video, I'm from Portland, OR and I truly did fly out to NY just to see the Yankees, for the first time, in Yankee Stadium, before they moved. This was one of the best weekends/moments of my life. Wow many can say they've had the Yankee faithful chanting "bullshit" for them? I can. :)

p.s. There are some colorful words in this clip, so if your young ones are watching, you might want to cover their ears, or wait to watch later.

p.p.s. I got kicked out because I was talking major shit to a Mets fan that had the balls to trash Don Mattingly, who is my favorite ball player ever. Yes, I was drunk as hell, and I tore this guy apart, but at least Yankee Stadium security had the respect to kick me out DURING the seventh inning stretch.

Both Boston and Tampa lose. I knew this was going to happen. I hope Joba will be okay. The ump blew it. That ball didn't touch Kinsler.

Phil Hughes will pitch on Thursday in Scranton and throw 65 pitches. And Pavano will throw at Trenton.

Chamberlain had an MRI today in New York. The Yankees would not reveal what it showed. However, Joba is being sent to Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., for another examination tomorrow.

You never want to hear Andrews mentioned. Guess we will have to wait this one out and see. Bad night last night all around.
