Everybody's forgetting the Red Sox offered Pavano more money. Sometimes it all comes down to luck. I would bet Dice-K would be a bust if the Yankees won his rights.

  • Read today that Joba may start in the pen in 2009??
Why? I'm sure its way to early to tell but if so he must be so annoyed. Make up your mind

Scranton starters in the IL playoffs:

    Probable Starting Pitchers s
    G1: LH Chase Wright (2-1, 2.41)
    G2: RH Ian Kennedy (5-3, 2.35)
    G3: LH Kei Igawa (14-6, 3.45)
    G4: RH Phil Hughes (1-0, 5.90)
    G5: RH Victor Zambrano (0-1, 18.00)

Johny Damon nominated for the Roberto Clemente Award. That's cool. I was not a fan of his before he came to the Yanks. Thought he was a little wacky and wasn't crazy about the signing. He is still vastly overpaid (who on the Yankees isn't?), but I find him one of the most likable players on the team now.

How about that shot by Nady last night!

Moose is now 34th on the career win list and (this is the one that surprised me) 20th on the career strikeout list. He's about to pass Cy Young!

Not a good game by Pavano. Couldn't get out of the 5th. Rays were trying to come back. But the Yanks relievers got out of jams. Well mainly Edwar got out of a bases loaded one.

Well Rasner just killed our winning streak. And Kazmir is pitching a no-hitter.

And Abreu is not in the lineup. He hurt his wrist yesterday. Don't think it's serious though.

so if we don't come back and win this thing, Boston's not playing tonight, is that right? So we'd still be 7 back, or 7.5?

Man this road trip is rough. It only gets harder, 3 in Seattle and 3 in Anaheim. Yipes.
