The yanks already announced their ticket prices for next year:

Maybe, but because the Yanks are responsible for $51 million a year in debt service. Baseball's 2002 collective-bargaining agreement permits teams to deduct stadium debt service and construction costs when calculating revenue sharing. Bottom line? Baseball's 29 other teams will effectively bear a third of the cost of the Yankees' new ballpark.

No problem. I remember Peter Gammons pointed that out last year and I just did a quick google search and found it.

That's part of the reason why I see the Yanks payroll going up past the 220 mil mark it's at this year.

there's way to get around that six dollar soda, seven dollar hot dog and 10 dollar beer. Just support the businesses in the neighborhood instead of giving the money to the Yankees.

Exactly, my lady and I at a HBO championship fight (Diaz vs Pacquiao) in Las Vegas left the fight because of the price of the beer. Six hours of boxing $8 a pop that's a lot of money. We left Mandalay Bay and walked 2 miles off the strip to a local store next a seedy motel and bought 2 six packs of Dos Equis for $15+. Drank some and snuck the rest in.

At O's/Fenway/DC/Marlins games I buy local or in the neighborhood and hardly ever at the game.

me too, you can eat a really good meal for under 10 bucks in the neighborhood around yankee stadium if you get there early enough, obviously it's tough if you're coming right when the game starts.

It's all relative isn't it? Four beers set me back $48 at the Wiltern  They were $7 each at the pre-party (normal bottle).

nice job on that find Solat. I gotta admit, the salary things getting absurd...220 mil..jesus

I support the dollar menu at BK's up the block from the stadium ;)
ANd I don't drink beer so I'm good to go on that. 14 dollar bleacher seats and my yankee game experiences ususally won't exceed 30 bucks. Its a beautiful thing

I don't know why Ponson is getting another start. Hughes is supposed to pitch today for Scranton. But that game is being rained out. And we have to worry about the Jays passing us.

Crap the Blue Jays just won again. I hope they're not going on a Colorado like run like last year. Now we're tied. Come on Yankees.

It could happen. The Blue Jays still have seven games against the Red Sox, but it would take a miracle for them to win all those games.

I had to get up early today but I was staying up to see if Morrow would get that no-hitter. He went 7 2/3. I was actually rooting for him to get it! I know that's bad but it was more exciting than the Yankees offense.

And of course we mounted a little mini-rally but it was too little, too late :(

I think last night's loss really did it. I don't see how they could possibly have a shot. Where are the mathematically inclined people? What is that 'tragic' elimination # now? :(

By the way did yous all see that Joba impostor? He actually got ladies to fall for it! Obviously they were not Yankees fans!

It's tricky now that they search your bags so you can't sneak in water bottles or anything else. But I mean if you go to a game in the summer, you can't go 9 innings w/o drinking something! They've got you. What can you do.
Plus I've already gone on about my love of the hot dogs :D

It's tricky now that they search your bags so you can't sneak in water bottles or anything else. But I mean if you go to a game in the summer, you can't go 9 innings w/o drinking something! They've got you. What can you do.
Plus I've already gone on about my love of the hot dogs :D

last year when I went I was afraid to bring in the bottle of soda I was drinking. So I downed it all before I got in. But as I was sitting at my seat. I saw a lady with a large clear bag of food.

If I drank all that soda, I wouldn't be able to sit through the game, LOL.

At Giants games, they'll let you bring in a water bottle, but no cap. they'll make you take it off and discard it. So we always go to the gate with a full, big, water bottle, with the cap nestled safely in an undisclosed location.

    OK, it's in my pocket
  • gotta love Girardi givong Ponson the quick hook after just 65 pitches. get it to the pen
