    And on top of everything, the fact that every single time he comes up with the game on the line (excluding his magical 2007, I'll give him that) I beg him to prove me wrong and get a hit. He almost without fail proves me right. Michael Kay pointed out during a game recently how dreadful his numbers are "in the clutch", or in 2 out, runners in scoring position situations he is. For Michael Kay to get on him, when Kay's had his head so far up ARod's ass he can tell what he had for breakfast, that says something. Especially since Kay has been paid by ARod to emcee autograph gigs before.

    I still think it was Boras. If he didn't want to come back he would of signed with someone else. He was offered from what I've heard. I'm sure if he stayed the whole game at the All-Star you would've turned that into a negative. Why is she a slut? The "HA " move was a good one. He can't be friends with Madonna? The glove slap I'm sure had it not been overturned everyone would be saying he's a gamer. I'm not saying there aren't times I'm mad at him for not getting a hit. But I also get mad at Jeter alot for not coming through. To the point where I wanted him gone. Giambi it's the same. But like I said before. It doesn't matter if he does get big hits. Because it's always what has he done for me lately with you guys.

    I'm no fan of his either but his off field antics are not necessarily related to his not hitting in the clutch.

    they're 53-40 with him in the lineup. and 8-12 without. Winning what exactly? And why don't they let Phil Hughes get his work done in the majors. It couldn't be worse than Rasner starting a game.

    when 's the last time he came up in the 8th or 9th, down a run or 2, men on base, and got a big hit? Now, how many times has he come to bat in such a situation?

    he hasn't done much of anything lately, but neither has anybody else. Abreu is the team MVP thus far in my opinion. Well and Nady was impressive.

    I do agree he doesn't seem to get that big hit with the game on the line though. I've seen it many times. I'll tell you the next time I see it.

    just winning on a regular basis, period. Doing better during the regular season, not having to come from behind or go for the wild card, winning more than the first round of the playoffs. Going on regular hot streaks, not just winning games here and there. Both Seattle and Texas did much better as soon as he left their teams. He is just a bastion of negative energy that affects and poisons the entire team, imo.

    Just like the pitching is now? And without his lineup they weren't deep. Him and Posada. But once Alex came back they started scoring. It's okay if you don't like or are upset that he doesn't get a big hit. But he's not the only one. i don't think i saw your posts when Giambi popped up twice with runners on base and less 2 outs against the Angels. I like Alex as a player cause he usually does things right. And for his team to win. As in hustling. Stealing bases when needed. He probably could steal more. But I'm guessing they don't want him to as to not hurt himself. Sometimes those things add up. He got hit twice today. Who knows? Those were times he might've had big hits

    Exactly how are the the Mariners and Rangers better? Yea the Mariners won 116 games. But no World Series. Texas is still bad. Aside from these last 2 games where they got lucky.

    How much? Even so it has nothing to do with the game. There have been players in the past and present that have done much more terrible stuff. Sometimes the big hit could be in the 1st inning. Like last week against Baltimore when he tied the game up.

    I said they "did" much better. Past tense.

    Texas Rangers:

    had a losing season in '03:
    2003 AL West 71-91 (.438)

    and in '04:
    2004 AL West 89-73 (.549 )

    You can argue it's a coincidence and the Yankees haven't had losing seasons,
    but
    since he's come to the Yanks, the RED SOX (of all teams) have won the WS twice, and I don't have to tell you how the '04 season went down.

    he's hitting .245 with RISP. The next time he doesn't get a big hit, I'll tell you. I don't get to catch every game but I can think of many times where I see him come up and he doesn't get the 'big' hit with runners on base.

    That's the problem. It's always pointed out. I watch the games I don't need you telling me everytime. And I can when he does. Not doing great this year I give you that. With runners on 3rd with 2 outs hitting .381

    It's pointed out b/c he doesn't get the big clutch hits. And people don't like him, myself included. You make the comparison with Jeter, but he is the 'golden child,' El Capitano. He conducts himself with class. And he's a proven winner. Until A-Rod becomes "Mr November" or dives head first into a stand, nobody's going to stop talking about it. And the low-class tabloid headlines only exacerbate the problem.

    I've said a bunch of times that Giambi should not even be in the lineup. His numbers look decent, but he's had 3 lousy months and one torrid month. They don't have many options to replace him, but at the very least move him down. I'd rather see Cano 5th, or even Cano 3rd and Abreu 5th, when Cano gets hot. The only good thing about Giambi sucking is that now there's no way they'll e fooled into bringing him back next year. Hopefully someone else signs him, an dthey get the 2 draft picks because of it. At the end of June, there was a lot of talk that they would re-sign him.

    Melky too. I don't want to see that clown hit in a close game after the 6th inning, ever. Automatic out
