who is the Toronto pitcher that's lefty...is it BJ Ryan? He's a pen guy tho, thought they had a lefty starter? Doc is a righty, no?

bj ryan is their closer. the jays don't have a lefty starter. they did have ted lilly a couple years ago. maybe that is who you are thinking of.

Are they talking about taking Lowe back??

I wonder where Manny will end up?

apparently lowe has put the red sox at the top of his list of teams he would want to sign with...but, i doubt that the sox would have interest. he'll cost too much and he had off-field issues when he was here.

manny...he'll go to the team that puts up the most $$$. i would be shocked if he didn't.

You don't think Manny will go to the Yankees $$$$$$$$$$$

As far as Lowe I wouldn't mind getting him back, but the rumor when they didn't sign him again was he was cheating on his wife, and they didn't approve of that...

I think Manny wants to play the field still. And The Yanks have a log jam in the OF with Nady in Right and Damon/Matsui in Left.

Though if they gave him enough Manny wouldn't care about dhing.

As a fan of the Brewers, I can say that they do have a TON of money coming off the books this year (for them of course) just with Sheets and Gagne leaving. However, they are going to have to pay a pissed off Prince, and J.J. Hardy which will cut into that. As such, I really don't see how they keep C.C., other than he loved playing there, has friends in Cameron and Riske, and has a chance to be a huge star in a small town. I'm afraid these are small-time things in a world where he can go home to L.A. and hit, or to the Yankees to become a superstar.

IF the magic happens it would be a pretty stellar staff of four with Sabathia (29 y/o LH), Gallardo (22 y/o RH), Parra (24 y/o LH), Bush (28 y/o RH), and "former Red Sox great" Suppan (RH). Just to let you know you DO NOT want Dumpster NL-AL pitching rarely works out, and, aside from the fact that he's a Pearl Jam fan, there's nothing really good about him outside of Wrigley Field.

Also Solat...I realize the Sox catch the ball well, but my question was what is their range factor? I know you know stats like that pretty well, so that's all I was wondering.

    I hear that.
All I know is the Yankees better come up with SOME kind of a quality no.1 or 2 pitcher side by side with Wang and I guess Joba. One more big time batter like Manny wouldnt hurt either

Manny would be nice but it won't happen, I see the Yanks going younger power bat. I think the Yanks are tired of the older expensive power bat.

On the other I kinda would like to see him in a Yankee uniform just to power up their payroll.

I wouldnt mind going with the youth movement either, but lets not forget. Mannys from the Crown Heights area and still has plenty of family and friends up there, so it might not just come down to the money. Maybe he might wanna retire back home? Who knows

That depends do you consider hitting .358 wth 13 HR and 43 RBI "not much"? (54 games)

Extrapolated over a full season, Tex's numbers in Anaheim would be .358, 39HR and 129 RBI. Triple crown type numbers, but not much otherwise.
