Riot Act is under-appreciated. Cropduster is my favorite du jour!

    pressed play.
instantly fell in love with can' t keep (slow), save you (rock!), lbc (lyric)
what cai i say about i am mine? seemed like i' ve always had it in me
i admit it, i didn' t get most of the album at once, but i think that those are the best albums; they' re like an old friend, who you still love even when he says something you can' t understand
sometimes you just need someone to say it's ok

Just got this cd on thanksgiving day (have a cd that hubby burned for me off itunes a few years ago though-just not the same, ya know).
Only really started listening again last week. LOVE it all over again.

I could go on, but I think you all get the drift. Riot Act rocks.

Listen - I love PJ as much as anyone here, and actually really liked Riot Act when it first came out. I hadn't listened to it in a long time, but I put on Save You today, and YUCK - the vocals are really poor in my opinion. I really like this song live too. Same with Green Disease, Half Full, All or None. It's really just Ed's vocals on the album - he admitted to rushing through it. He sounds tired and out of breath. Thankfully, Avocado is one of my favorite albums - I was worried that PJ didn't really have anything left in the tank studio-wise after Riot Act.

The band has admitted to Binaural and Riot Act being their "valleys" among the "peaks". Hey - if you love the album, great. But I don't really understand how someone could think Ed's vocals are up to par on this one.

I'll call it what I want. I'm not quite ready yet. I'm still mourning. IN HIDING, one would say.

Ill post there, honestly as you can tell from my username I love Yield, but I wandered off course the last year and 1/2.

That post braught me back in to the vibe. The writting on that album is on a high level.

Actually all these album posts make me listen more.

Weird or not we come hear for Pearl Jam.

    Peace.

I still have that video of nyc 98

I will gladly mail it, pm me your address.

    I concur.

What would Jack Irons add to Riot Act?

While I do miss the Yield thread I love the fact that whenever I want to talk about Riot Act I can come to this thread and know that as soon as I get done posting the intimidated Yieldey's won't have bumped their thread to the top just because they see the RA thread at the top of the page!

False. The YIELD thread would already be on the front page.

I love matt but jack would have added more balance to riot act, toned it down a bit and let the emotion take over between band members.

What on earth does this even mean? Could Jack control the band's emotions? Wow :D
