We have a few imperial IPA's from Alley Kat "in the Cellar", a couple Barley wines and an Imperial Stout or two. All from places in Canada. We drank the DFH Pangaea after about a year...just couldn't wait any longer... We try to keep some of it around...but sometimes you get thirsty...

I really liked the Pangaea when I had it fresh... actually drank 2 bottles of it, and somehow have refrained from drinking the other 2 so far (it's been about 4-5 months)... I don't know how long I'm going to make it before I go back and have one... I'm hoping I can make it to the 1 year mark...

Unfortunately it's not on the schedule for DFH this year... very dissappointed at that, especially seeming how it's one of their few occassional brews that actually has label approval in the state of TX... :(
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

can you be considered a craft beer when you are produced by one of the big three?

i admit, i'm a beer snob.....and i find goose island to be over rated. i've tried a few different brews a few different times and always come to the same conclusion.

that's ok...right? i mean, i'm sure everyone doesn't agree with my beer choices....

  • I've always liked Goose Island, but yeah a bit overrated. This coming from a Samuel Adams fanatic. Seriously though, this "overrated" nonsense has gotta end with craft beers.

lets end it with sam adams....

beers can be over rated....there are some beers out there that get talked up so much, like they are the greatest thing ever...and then you try it, and you shake your head and go why

I can't stress enough that if you're in the Philly area to stop by Victory's brewery in Downingtown. Awesome place.

Where should we stop and what should we look for in the NW corner of Arizona and SE corner of Nevada (Flaggstaff/Vegas)? The Mr. loves the IPAs and I am a pale ale gal.

Top 50 beers in the U.S. 2012. Sadly, I've only had one (#7) There might be a keg of Pliny in town, though.

lot of oak/bourbon aged beers on that list....

i remmeber hearing about them a couple of years ago, they were becoming all the rage...

i've two or three and they don't do it for me.

    i prefer straight beer.

I've had the dark truth, double wide IPA, The Sixth Glass (a quadruple), and a Tank 7... of them the dark truth and the double wide were my favorites...

I also have one of there limited releases in my beer aging fridge... the 2011 Bourbon Barrel Quad... it's clocked in at some ridiculous ABV, so i thought it might be a good idea to age it a bit, judging from the other beers i've had from the brewer...
