We showed the kitty a brach of the tree yesterday to see if she would start sneezing or show discomfort. Well, she nibbled the needles right off. Now I am too paranoid to set the thing up. It will go into the Florida room. Our cat does not like treats and is a real food snob in general, but she likes spruce needles image:lol:

A tree eating cat?!! I wonder if your cat thinks she is a giraffe or an elephant?
    I guess so

When I rescued my cat I got a $25 gift certificate for a local pet store and we finally made it in today. I realized, never bring the bf shopping for Fenris b/c he spent a shit load of money on him..and he was like it's Christmas...he needs this and that and lets try this....needless to say we went a a bit over..at least he paid for it!...lol.
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!

No offense to your girl, but she's beefier than George!

She's not really Hedo, it's mostly the angle. She can still reach her back :giggle: but she has pudged out for the winter. She did last year as well, with the snow outside she just doesn't get the exercise she does when there is none on the ground, she loses it as soon as the snow goes. Plus i think some is her winter coat but I could just be optimistic with my Lil' Shit.

Lately Leo's new thing is sleeping totally under the covers. I got new bedding and it's super super soft--kitty seems to like it even more than me! Ever since then, that's what he enjoys. He'll headbutt my arm super hard to get me to move so he is able to go under the covers. I worry that it'll get too hot under there so I always try to keep a little bit open so air can get through. But man, this is his new favorite thing. And it's pretty adorable!

Lucky - my first cat; she had a good life for 18 years - used to get under the covers with me when I lived alone. She'd curl up in the nook of my belly.

Beans just does it out of continual curiosity, then gets startled once she's in there.

I had some packing paper out on the bed and Sebas decided it was his. He eventually knocked it onto the floor, spread it out (it had been folded) and slept on it for days. One Day, I was getting up from the chair on the oppose side of this paper-bed and for no real reason decided to take a large step to the edge of it rather than just walk straight across it as I had been doing. He bolted out from underneath the paper like goddamned rocket. I had no idea he was there, so it's a good thing I didn't just walk right through the paper as I had been doing cuz I'd have had a flattened pussycat!
In case your wondering, that was the moment I decided he's had his new bed/toy long enough and threw it out. I generally let him keep garbage like this on the floor when he finds something he really likes (the seasonal red large plastic bags from target is another one) because he doesn't use the cat bed I bought him at all.

This morning I actually caught chance doing this thing. She knocks the water out of her water bowl and onto the floor, so that she can drink it up from off the floor. I've always seen the puddles by the water bowl and figured it was her but never got why. I tried to get a video but as soon as she saw me with the phone she came over to sniff it.

Ident, your last paragraph just made me laugh - I can relate. George will shift the water bowl a good two feet from where it originally started out - end up with him lounging by the bowl on his side, lapping it up, with at least one paw wet plus the carpet.

Packing paper + laser + one or more cats = hilarity.

Chance is a great name, by the way. One of my friends gave her son that name.

    Too much rough housing today:

    Annie: 2 scratch points
Me: 0 (with two nasty scratches).

Those claws are fast and wicked... but I should know better!

Thanks Hedo. My mom actually named Chance cuz when my dad found her she got a second 'chance' at life (she was starving to death when he found her). My next door neighbor's kid is named Sebastian. Made for quite a funny introduction when they first moved in. My Sebastian is older than that kid though. And way less of an asshole

One of my cats, Kali, sometimes sleeps under the covers as well. I'll come into my bedroom and see a big lump on the bed

Fen won't go under any covers but my first Siamese slept curled up under the covers with me every night. Curled up right in the crook of my arm under my chin. Every night.

Our cat is sometimes like a herd dog. When it is getting around bed time, she comes repeatedly into the living room to see if we are getting ready for bed. We have a dresser opposite of the bed, and that is where her heated kitty bed usually sits. Once we are in bed, she jumps in there. She can overlook the whole room and make sure we are safe.

Yesterday, I found a little pile of vomit and got a bit concerned because she has never vomited before (we have had her fro three years now). I looked a bit closer and it turned out to be a big chunk of hairball! I was so happy, I started talking sweet to her in an instant  She never passed a hairball before that we know of, and was super purry the whole day. I wonder how long she has been trying to get it out.

Mine doesn't sleep under for long. She is happier if her face is hanging off the side of the bed so she can breathe. But she loves making the bed. If I am flapping blankets she is making a dive right under them, and then we have a lump.

Yes, that certain singers name came to mind! And the combination of Edward and Abbey are perfect seeing as one of my favorite authors is:
