  • easy day for me today walk to gym, 25 mins on the cross trainer and ten on the treadmill. can not wait till sundays half marathon I am so underprepared.

    YES been eating well and keeping active, had a bounce in my workout today.. did an extra set of jumping squats in my routine.. good work :)

    apx 45-60 min on treadmill 3-4 days a week
    with 0.5kg weights strapped to each ankle and 1.5kg weights in each hand...
    5MIN @ 4km/h > weight reps > arms
    5MIN @ 6km/h > weight reps > arms
    8MIN @ 8km/h >
    8MIN @ 10km/h >
    8MIN @ 8km/h >
    5MIN @ 6km/h > weight reps > arms
    5MIN @ 4km/h > weight reps > arms
    1-15min 2km/h

    sunday: did the half marathon in 2:55:31 (net 2:52:00) which was not too bad due to my poor preparation
    monday: walk to gym, did a light uppper body workout with the pt and some leg strecthing
    walked home
    tuesday: walk to gym, 45 min spin class, will walk home tonight

    My bf and I just jogged around the block........and now I have a fucking headache! :x

    Only 40 days or so until the tour.....and I'm still not small enough to wear pants....well I am....but I'm not in my eyes. Damn chubby thighs! Nearly there though.....just need to step it up a bit for the next 4 weeks! 8-)

    Ran in the vibram's again, this time some road running mix with trails. Went really well.

    Yesterday I decided to join my boys in playing with their stomp rocket (air propelled plastic toy), bad idea, jump to hard and back is sore. taking some time off.

    also picked up the born to run book and have read the first few chapters, and its fantastic

    thats not good to hear about the back, hope its better soon

    Ive missed my sacred thread.

    Been at a wedding on the Gold Coast. Lots of surfing and beer drinking. Ran from Coolangatta one day around the headland and up past Kirra. Beautiful run and I went about 6km just by staring at the ocean....and that odd hot arse!!

    Surfed with dolphins nearby and some whales breaching (sp?) about 150m away. Spectacular!! :D

    Had a light workout yesterday. Fair bitta cable work and some back stuff. Still scared to go too intense but today Ill ramp it up a bit
    I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

    No idea what's going on with my appetite....just don't have one anymore. No, I don't eat breakfast unless I actually wake up hungry. And I have a few rye cruskits with vegemite for lunch or maybe a wholemeal bread roll and then a healthy dinner. And I haven't had a drink for 10 days either.... :o That's probably a fucking record for me. :lol: I'm seeing how much more I lose if I don't drink so having a few weeks off drinking. My stomach has shrunk too....I can't eat anywhere near as much as I used to. At least it's going to be cheap to eat on tour now! haha

    I eat like a machine. Order normal meals and Ill eat the other part you dont.

    Me and a mate absolutely demolished a $140 seafood platter on the weekend. They said 'serves 5' :lol:

    Serves 5! haha Ohhh....if seafood is in front of me I'd force it down somehow! Mmmm.....I feel like some prawns right now....and crab....and oysters kilpatrick.... *drools*

    Oh yeahhh!! I just went shopping quickly and saw these nice long dresses that tie up around your neck for $10 each! Tried a few on -- normally I was a size 12 (but even some 12s were getting a bit tight 2 months ago :? ) so I grabbed some 12s and they were too big -- looks like I'm now back down to a size TEN! So I bought three of them! haha I reckon I can pull off an EIGHT by tour time! Ohhhh fuck yeah! I'm obsessed! :shock: :mrgreen: I need to work on my arms more...they're too flabby....might be time for some weights.

    7.58mins and geez it hurt

    Just got in under 8mins. The row I did in 4 and it damn well hurt after 70kg squats.

    On of the trainers did 6.34mins with 100kg squats :o:o:o:o

    Did some ball work and stretching for 30mins

    Yeah yeah....plenty of time for fitness....haha ;) The looks part is just more immediate and visible so it's more motivating! But I am really working on both....alright!?!?! :x

    alright.. started gym just over 6mths ago, heart rate went from 83 to 72.. happy :)

    anyone here recommend a decent (and affordable) pair of cross trainers?!

    Hey Aussie Fitness Clubbers

    I havent been here for about a year but I have been working out. GOt the house of pain built in the extra garage stall. Leg Press, hack squat, power rack, dumbells. Just need to get some heat going. Awful hard to get the muscles to co-operate in the Wyoming winter, so I'll be picking up a heater this week. (it was 21 degrees F last week)

    Bought a pait of Nike Air Max right before the Seattle shows. WELL WORTH THE $$$. ...but my damn knees still frickin ache.

    Chest and Bi's yesterday.

    One more item, my brother in law fron Utah is competing in a bodybuilding comp in the Gold Coast this week. Sorry for my ignorance as to where, I just know Australia is a long ways from here... :oops:

  • Back felt fine this AM, so I did 1 hour of laps in the pool.

    Excited to be at it again after a 3-4 break.

    No more stomp rockets for me.
