  • Has a group cycling class tonight.
Boy that was torture, doing climbs and sprints all in a 45 minute session.
In a dark room with glow in the dark lights and effects.
    Cool but hard.

Hey Ozzies, just letting you know its cold here. Real cold. Only gonna get colder.
Ran for 1 hour yesterday morning.
Did bi-blasting arm work out, and some back work last night.

Biceps on incline with "X rep" at the bottom, decrease weight and go like a piston, decrease again and do alternating "X rep". Back work was just simple old back rows and one arm rows.

Nothing girly about that, that's how I do them too.

Too much weight the other way when you factor in the long arms on my 6-4 body.

Hit the pool again a strong 70 minutes and again I wanted to stay in the water all day.

    Can't get enough.

Oh yeah and leaving for the Philadelphia show in the AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Measured myself today.....3.5 inches off my hips since 25 August! Woo hoo! Also down 1.6 inches on my waist which is okay I suppose.

The other measurements aren't as impressive. My arms are getting more defined and look smaller but are about the same size. Same with my thighs....I was sure they were way smaller but not in measurements -- only down a half inch or so. I'm not happy! :x How much more fucking work is this going to take!?!

I ran 5km last night in 25mins. Very surprised I kept that speed the whole way as I usually only ran that pace for max 2km.

I was 'studying' whilst running (ie thinking of exams) so before I knew it Id done it.

Missed a few gym sessions during the last 2 weeks. Ill be back next monday to 3 gym a week. Looking forward to trying to get some good fitness levels back
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

    3 thrusters 40kg
    3 kettle bell swings 20kg
    3 ball slams
    200m row

    Set 2 - 6 reps/400m row(2min)

    Set 3 - 9 reps/600m row (3min)

    Set 4 - 12 reps/800 row (4min)

    Set 5 - 15 reps/1.0km row (5min)

Set 6 - 18 reps/1.2km row (6min) of eyes closed, screaming and pure fucked up breathing)

The last two rows were some of the hardest stuff Ive done in 6 months. I HATE rowing

I was like that back in August. I do 50 reps at once now. I didn't do 100 straight.

I'm about to go outside and jump rope for a while now. It fucking kills me.....but feels so good!!

I ran 21 minutes straight on Tuesday at level 9.3.
That is why I increased the level to 10.5 so I can be pushed more.
I probably could've done 13-14 mins but thought I'd settle at 12 mins for now.

When I joined the gym about 5 weeks ago I couldn't run 10 mins at a lower level, my cardio has improved so much I am rapt!

I am nowhere near my brother in law when he was at his best...
    45 minutes on level 10.5.

If you want to improve jump on the treadmill and aim at PB's.
I aimed for 12mins, then 13, then 14 etc until I got to where I am.

Plus bike is good, but nothing beats a jog.

apply the fartlek method when you go for a run or when you go for a run replace one with a set of sprints instead

Its hard to get a good run in anymore with the shorter days.. I miss living in the city. I'm in the burbs now and can't jog more than a block or two before I can't see my own feet.

  • i think i hurt my brain
i went to the gym last night, and was starting my workout with chinups then bench presses. all was going okay until i did 1 set of 8 presses on 100kg (more than i've ever done) and as soon as i'd finished that set, i got this incredibly intense headache which i've still got today (the morning after). i eventually gave up on the workout after about 25mins, and don't know whether it was just dehydration (i drink shitloads of water though) or a strain kind of injury or if i've popped a blood vessel in my head? anyone else ever had this happen so suddenly and linger so long?

Whenever I try heavier than normal loads I always concentrate on NOT clenching my teeth and MAKING SURE to BREATHE OUT ON EXERTION. I have given myself headaches like you mention but never can remember what I did to bring them on

Just make sure to see your doctor if you have an erection that last for more than 4 hours.

    Oh sorry, wrong commercial.
