    again ... he's gone ...

ok - you got a gym nearby?? if yes, start a body pump class. but be warned .... the first time i did a class i was so sore i coulnt even walk down stairs ... or lower myself onto the loo ... it hurt so bad  but it gets easier, and it really does strip it off you. your combining cardio and resitance in one hit.

or - take an hour - walk as far as you can in 1.2 hour, up some hills if you can. aim to stop in a park or somewhere and do lunges, squats, (if the grounds not wet) crunches, including your obliques, and some push ups if you can handle them (i hate them) - try for 3 sets of 12 reps all this should take about 15mins. then walk home, faster than you walked out, so you get home in the hour.

Yes I have a gym nearby but I'm not too keen on jumping into the whole gym scene straight away. I'll die doing a class.

Okay....walking etc like you said sounds alright -- I'll stick to the crunches etc at home instead of the park.....but I've been getting home pretty late lately and it's been dark some nights so maybe I need to invest in some machines -- A tredex costs about $1000 -- so fuck that......how about a stationary bike?

Or skipping? :? What other stuff can I do at home at night?

skippings one of the best cardio workouts you can get. im just too unco to do it even for a full minute

or any of those other excersises - you can get up 1/2 hour earlier and do them in front of the morning news. if you dont have weights, fill up a couple of cordial bottles full of water. or use yourself.

absolutely go by measurement ... if you weigh, pick one day of the week, and weigh in the morning after you pee  thats all - one day. and remember - your a girl. your weight is going to change depending on the time of the month, all sorts of factors.

eighty days. about 7 -8 kgs - thats very doable

we should really get donjon to set us out a weekly program, and report every monday or something. keep everyone on track and motivated.

I threw away my scales two months ago -- they fluctuated by kilos at a time and started to freak me out....so now I'm going by clothing sizes and feel. I might go to a chemist and weigh myself tomorrow so I at least know for sure what I was at the beginning of my EIGHTY DAY PLAN. I'll measure as soon as I go home tonight.

    I'm scared...DonJon is a meany! :?

Yeah dont worry to much about weight.

My flatmate was 'obsessed' with losing 5-6 kgs. She started training 3 days a week and after about 5-6 weeks I noticed a BIG difference. She had converted fat to muscle but still weighed the same so wasnt happy

If you are serious about doing it Ill email a few things to do....but dont waste me time

Zenith has started you with the right ideas. Just start getting out there. Walk/run, lots of lunges and squats to start with. Just make sure you do things properly to start with aka...lunges...dont travel over the front knee. Knne should not go forward from the shin (should be 90%) and drop with the back leg etc

I can see me getting the video camera out here cant I  :?

Okay, I've started off well. Got really stoned and drunk last night, went to bed at 2am and slept through my 6am alarm....... So I'm starting this afternoon!

I am all measured up though. I did that before I started drinking.

    Email me please DonJon.....I won't waste your time.....promise! :D

Okay, I just did 10 lunges with each leg in my office just then.....and I'm sore! I have such a long way to go.... :? How many of those should I work up to per day do you think?

It's hard to tell whether I am doing it right and keeping my front knee at right angle etc......I need to do it in front of a mirror.

Exactly.......DonJon may have ethical issues teaching someone who is doing it for the wrong reasons :?

Feeling good, sharp and healthy is the reason for doing such things....if you happen to look good then that is a bonus.

Half the males that go to gyms are only there to bulk up - put on muscle mass....its such a bad attitude. Gimme 10mins with any of those steroid freaks and they wouldnt know what hit them.

    Look punk....just teach me okay.... :x ;)

How can looking good be for the wrong reason? Looking good = feeling good. Look like crap = feel like crap. Okay....I want to feel good, sharp and healthy....and comfortable in pants on tour with no chubby thighs....happy? And improve my posture.

We all have different motivators. And once I starting feeling awesome I won't want to stop.
