Ya know, I was just reading an article about Kruk getting inducted into the Phils Wall of Fame, and it got me to wondering/thinking of how much of a smug, arrogant, douchebag Curt Schilling was/is. Dude spent the majority of his career here, and I seriously think he thinks he's a Red Sock. When he gets into the HOF the rules are that you have to wear the cap of the team you played most of your career with, so whether it be in Philly for our little shindig or Cooperstown, I can't see this guy even wanting to be there with a Phils cap on. What a douche.

he might be a douche but a big game pitcher. hard to deny that fact. and if mitch hadn't blown the 1993 series (blowing 2 games not just game 6) curt's legacy in philly might be that much greater. remember his game 5 performance in 1993 series was nothing short of spectacular.

Never getting the point, just looking to turn the issue to something that I wasn't talking about whatsoever. I get it, you want to reiterate who's fault it is we lost the WS. Yeah, nevermind Jim Fregosi, he had nothing to do with it. Right.

Aaaaaanyway, back to what I was talking about - of course he was a great pitcher, hence getting a nod into the HOF sooner than later. My point that I was making is that there's a reason Kruk was chosen over him for this thing. And whatever and whenever Curt's speech will be it will be the most overhyped thing that some Philly fans will pretend to be proud of, because the dude couldn't wait to get out of here.

wow just commenting on your post and wasn't trying to turn it into anything. not sure where that came from. usually when you post something you want comments and to start a discussion so i was just going along with standard protocol. of course what i said above is correct but apparantly facts are frowned upon here.

clearly i misinterepted the deep level of thought you were looking for in this thread regarding your post on Curt Schilling. i will now proceed to go bash my head against the wall 7000 times to get back to this 3rd grade level of communication. please accept my apologies for my original response being on an adult level that contained clear and concise comments.

This year it's Lee, last year Halladay, but there's definitely more Utley jerseys out there since he's been here the longest.

another r6 "OPPO BOPPO" johnny! ...again--that is a great sign to see him go the other way.

watching on gamecast. i'm assuming this all young clifton will need to complete the sweep today.

this team is on fire...i'm a little worried about seattle. hectic schedule the last few days. going all the way out west. they're gonna be dead tired. facing some good pitching. stupid interleague always gets us. i can see seattle taking 2 out of 3. be nice to hold for 7 straight today though...

Yeah, I have bad feelings about the Seattle series. So, with playing the Cardinals next week, do the Phils have one less interleague series? This interleague stuff is so fucked up. When was the last time we played at Baltimore?

i hate interleague almost as much as i hate the dh...but not quite as much as i hate having an exhibition game determine home field advantage in the world series.

5.5 game lead in division in mid june. given all our offensive struggles this year, that is phenomenal.

I think an underrated story of 2011 is that Cliff Lee is a completely different pitcher than we saw here in 2009 or even last year. He has become a power, strikeout pitcher with nasty stuff. I think some of the struggles he's had have to do with him adjusting to whatever is coming from his arm.
