and i'm stil waiting for the 6 forwards on each team in the NHL better than Jeff Carter.

and feel free to show me anything i've posted that is 100% incorrect. that's 100% incorrect, not 10,20,50 or 75%. i'll wait.....

nice...could not have asked for a better start to a double header.

kendrick goes 7 strong. and we only need the 2 scrubs to finish them off.

ha sure anything you say lord and master. you're just upset because the Phils won game 1 so now you have nothing complain about.

don't you have a bunch of blogs to read to tell you how the team with the best record in baseball sucks?

Fun night ahead with this game and Game 7 going on. 8-)

I'm ashamed I got caught in the middle of one of these stupid arguments.

When the Marlins were playing well in April & May, I thought they were gonna have a shitty stretch that screws them, and sure enough, here it is. They don't seem like they're into it at all. Kind of like the Phillies before 2007, when they always made it too difficult for themselves by having horrible stretches and falling too far back.

Haha. They at least never fell under .500. I think 7 back was the low-water mark; of course it was rather late in July. That was a hell of a finish.

the Phils never went on a 1-14 stretch like the marlins are for june. i bet it's been a long long time since any phils team has done that.

of course not. but they had an 8-17 stretch around this time last year. they were like 7 games behind the braves deep into the summer before they turned on the after burners...

phils usually do that in inter-league play.
and this marlins team is now only 1 game out of last place which is hard to believe. the mets have been playing some good ball lately. reyes has been on fire.

they don't have the depth that the phils have. too many injuries to their best players. morrison, stanton, ramirez, johnson, nunez, etc.

phils catching them at the right time. assuming they get everyone back they will not be a team people want to play in september

2 in a row for me now :D Missed the first inning cuz of traffic on 95 (took about an hour and a half to get there, normally takes about 40 mins.) :x Great game, Halladay didn't have his best stuff but.... we'll take it. Funny I had traffic going but coming home I got out real easy and got home in "record time"

Ya know, I was just reading an article about Kruk getting inducted into the Phils Wall of Fame, and it got me to wondering/thinking of how much of a smug, arrogant, douchebag Curt Schilling was/is. Dude spent the majority of his career here, and I seriously think he thinks he's a Red Sock. When he gets into the HOF the rules are that you have to wear the cap of the team you played most of your career with, so whether it be in Philly for our little shindig or Cooperstown, I can't see this guy even wanting to be there with a Phils cap on. What a douche.

he might be a douche but a big game pitcher. hard to deny that fact. and if mitch hadn't blown the 1993 series (blowing 2 games not just game 6) curt's legacy in philly might be that much greater. remember his game 5 performance in 1993 series was nothing short of spectacular. besides most people outside of philly will barely recall Curt pitching here. he will always be remembered for helping the Sox win the series.

Never getting the point, just looking to turn the issue to something that I wasn't talking about whatsoever. I get it, you want to reiterate who's fault it is we lost the WS. Yeah, nevermind Jim Fregosi, he had nothing to do with it. Right.

Aaaaaanyway, back to what I was talking about - of course he was a great pitcher, hence getting a nod into the HOF sooner than later. My point that I was making is that there's a reason Kruk was chosen over him for this thing. And whatever and whenever Curt's speech will be it will be the most overhyped thing that some Philly fans will pretend to be proud of, because the dude couldn't wait to get out of here.
