Blanton should have been shut down and Worley should have been pitching tonight. The way they've handled things this year regarding injuries is horrendous.

Yeah..if Blanton's elbow is that sore still keep him on the DL
That would be the common sense thing to do.

Bum? I think Giambi has the most underrated career in my life time for the Yankees. .400 OBP and .520 slugging. I don't think we get that out of Tex over the course of the contract.

although he is a player who just isn't a winner

one difference for sure...tex helped us get a ring against some team we beat in the ws that year :lol::lol:

Yeah, he had bad timing with the whole winning thing. I love him though. Was miserable in the field but dude has probably one of the greatest eyes I have ever seen aside from Bonds.

Their big free agent signings. Mussina is the best free agent signing they have had in a long time. Dude was worth every penny.

Ever read OIneys, "Last Night Of The Yankee Dynasty"? A great baseball book regardless if you are a fan.

Moose got unlucky, he deserved a ring. He's in that class with Mattingly, so awesome without a ring. Fuck Carl Everett is right. I remember that game as clearly as I remember any. I was furious.

yea cause guys like joey votto never go on bad streaks - oh wait yes he does, in the playoffs as we kicked his ass :lol::lol:

funny how this team doesn't score when ryan doesn't hit. when he hits we score and win. kind of makes him prtty damn important. and for a team on a hundred win pace he must do something right at least some of the time.

guess we could use michael young afterall. of course you want milton bradley now so i have to assume you can admit your take on michael young back in spring training was incorrect. he's got some nice stats so far, of course that doesn't count cause its only 40 some games in. 40 games only count when it's negative like the phils hitters or if its joey votto or other man-crushes you have right?

blanton is screwing us. we will never be able to trade him now. we at least could have gotten rid of some of his salary. who is going to take his fat ass now with a bad elbow. ugh. charlie should made mathison stay out there all night. why use every reliever but madson in a game you had no chance to come back in. shouldn't have taken ruiz, howard and polanco out as well.

So, we're gonna start a major league pitcher tonight, right?

I'm still pissed they sent Worley down. Fucking idiots. Well, only got one run anyway, so I guess it didn't matter too much. Just embarrasing when some gray haired washed up steroid junkie comes into your park and blasts 3 homers off batting practice pitchers.

other than you know we need a good pitcher around the part that irked me about sending Worley down was at some point you have to reward someone for performing well. the fact that Worley was sent down and Kendrick and Baez are still on this team would have pissed me off if I was Worley. Kendrick has always bothered me. He sucks and has a smug look to him.

I couldn't give two shits about how smug he looks. He can't get major league hitters out, at least without getting lucky. He is NOT a major league pitcher. Period. End of story.

I think sending worley down was smart. If they kept him up here he was going to get hurt. Keep him stretched out in AAA so he can start if they need him. Jerking him around from starter to reliever to starter was gonna fuck him up.

Who knows if blanton and oswalt will make it through the season. They are probably gonna need worley at some point. Best to have him starting in the minors and ready to go.

And yes, Kendrick sucks. Can you believe that he started game 2 of the playoffs in 2007? No wonder why they got swept that year.

Also, it would help this team a lot if the 25 million dollar man would get a fucking hit once in a while. At least he only struck out twice last night. Flailing pussy
