music snobs? i'm hardly a music snob. i just appreciate cool music ;)

pj and dmb in ac? really? where did you hear this rumor? i gotta hop back on the porch more regularly

well you are a nova fan and nova fans are well ....

it was on the Porch a few weeks ago. apparantly McCready was hanging out with Stefan Lessard from DMB at the Sundance Film Festival and went on twitter asking their fans if they would like to see them play with Pearl Jam or Phish. Apparantly the rumor was PJ in AC. DMB is playing 4 festivals instead of touring and one is in AC at the old airport grounds. Apparantly NBC10 said their management was there checking the site out and it looks to be late June. Didn't say anything about PJ opening for them there but that was the original rumor a month or so ago. although i'm not sure June is do-able for PJ? who knows

Fixer - vegas sports book - agree on the sports books. not enough seats if you are there anytime that is a peak time. and most still have shitty large screen tvs that you can barely see. and way too much horse racing. i know those degenerates bet a lot of it and i enjoy horse racing but just way too much of it in those books. if AC gets sports gambling it will be even worse with the crowds.

Pj opening for dmb is one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. thanks for the laugh

I'm not big on sports books to begin with. Just give me nice TVs and an internet feed (phone service) so I can place my bets with my bookie. I could never get into horses either

what can i say you are a complex dude

agree on the announcement. i'm not going to fn wisconsin. maybe toronto or montreal though if they do canada. just like to find out for sure.

went to wisconsin for an eagles/pack game a few years ago (the dropped punt debacle...my road trip record is putrid). spent a night in milwaukee and 2 nights in GB. It is like going back in time being out there. I don't think they have CDs there yet. or treadmills. it's your kind of state if you like big women. Lambeau is insane though...highly recommend seeing that place.

PJ is one of the few things that could get me back to the state of wisconsin. I'm going if it's alpine valley. one of the best things about being in sales is making my own schedule

i enjoy them but i think they could be so much better. the seating is absolutely lousy especially for the NFL or any big event. i'm too old to stand for 8-10 hours like i did the 1st year i went out there for march madness. and i don't want to have to sit there for like 4 hours before an event to get a seat. that being said i fucking love vegas and would there tonight if i could.

oh way too much good and nice talk in here today. i'll need to piss you guys off next week. i'll have to come up with something this weekend for that ;)

A-10's a surprisingly good time in AC. Cheap tickets, cheap beers. We hit the Irish Pub first, then the tourney, then the poker tables.

I know Flying Dog is made in MD, so they may have it in excess, who knows...

I have had enough guinness at that irish pub in my career to drown a small village.

totally agree with everything here. especiall your last paragraph.

the sportsbooks practically have lawn furniture for you to sit in (and nowhere near enough seats). weak as shit

I'll be there in May - cannot fucking wait. Friday to Monday at The Mirage(5/13-16). Already got a couple strippers lined up for the room Friday night, followed by mimosas and machine guns on Saturday morning(the bachelor wants to shoot machine guns. And honestly, who doesn't?). And somewhere between Friday and Monday I will be putting ridiculous bets in on horses, hockey, and baseball, playing poker, blackjack, craps & roulette, and any time the sun is up I'll be by the pool drinking $25 daiquiri's, going to the Spearmint Rhino at night, drinking obscene amounts of alcohol with just as much amounts of "illicit materials" to boot. This not being single thing all of a sudden may be a challenge...

I don't know if you been the Grand or Mirage's new sports books since they opened up. They're the only ones to ever go to . They are gigantic with huge leather chairs to splay yourself in.

haha, not being single? uh oh. don't worry, out of state happenings don't count on your record ;)

We didn't hit either of those. Stayed at caesar's because we were told their sportsbook is biggest and nicest, which coudln't have ben further from the truth. Ended up at planet hollywood some, which wasn't anything special either. Then we gave up and just went to bars/blackjack tables.

you gotta hit up o'shea's. it is a dump, but the tables are cheap. And they have beer pong.

LOVE O'Shea's. I like to think of myself as a well greased vet of the Strip. Oshea's is great - they blast classic rock, are connected to a Wendy's, and like ya said, have beer pong in the back. Plus, Bill's next door is a winner as well. And going to the Imperial Palace to their blackjack table where all the dealers are impersonators? Forget about it. Just amazing.

Yeah, dude, this is a girl I actually care about. Very strange.

that's cool...I was fucking around. Just don't let this slow you down while you're out there. I expect details (like costanza told jerry when he said he was getting too old for details).

Alright bitches...the wife should be here soon so it's just about boozetime. have fun tonight with whatever you get in to.

ha. yeah, howard. that's who i'm talking about dude. ;)

who cares where they were drafted? 4 or 5 years into his career werth was looked at similarly. for one reason or another both have had difficultly staying on the field. werth was about the same age. right handed bat. decent in the outfield. both looked at as platoon guys. both only had one really productive year at this point. wouldn't have to pay a lot for either.

yeah, i dunno...i think it'd be a pretty similar pickup to the werth signing in '07.

I wanna see this even more improved version of Cole's cut fastball. Apparently everyone's raving how much he's ahead of all the other pitchers - even Doc.

Know what I was thinking while watching all those Steinbrenner pieces before the game, I'm assuming produced by the Yankees video people? No matter if it's the Phils, Yanks, Red Sox, Cubs, etc. NOTHING ever produced by these MULTI- HUNDRED MILLION(some BILLION) dollar organizations can ever look newer than 15 years old in its quality. Anything ever done by a baseball team always looks like it was filmed a decade before - like their using hand-me-down equipment that the AV department from the local news station doesn't want to use anymore. Aaaaaanyway....

They've had opportunities to do so. They chose not to - this team plays in Comcastadelphia.
