Basically, the entire argument that has been going on in this thread for months summed up in a cartoon video.

Been away a couple weeks - did anyone mention Kyle Drabek's no hitter? Awesome. Did Aumont throw one of those? How about a no-hit inning?

Gonna be an oven at the game tonight.

    Very fitting.

And yes, this video must have been ripped from this thread.

this is one of the best quotes of all time

For Atlanta outfielder Jeff Francoeur, the search for a more disciplined approach is elusive and the source of occasional torment. Francoeur began this season with loose goals of 80 strikeouts and 50 to 60 walks. But he's always been an aggressive player, and he's wary of becoming too passive in the quest for a higher OBP.

"If on-base percentage is so important, then why don't they put it up on the scoreboard?" Francoeur says.

Actually, in a game back in April, Aumont tossed 6 no hit innings before being pulled due to his pitch count.

    So there you go.

(all downhill from there, of course)

To me, what brings it full circle is the Joey Votto comment. That's what makes me think it comes from this thread.

I hear you, I mean there are a bunch of other 1st baseman they could have mentioned. It's great that it was Votto.

Good thing WAR has never been brought up in here. A couple peoples heads might have exploded. haha.

Oh boy, I would have liked to have been a part of that.

    hahahahhaha.

I mean they even used the all-star game argument!

"you are a fuckikng nerd"...." and you are a cretin, living in the past"

I fucking love the "he agreed that I agreed with him"

The whole thing is just outstanding.

i saw it on comcast last night and it pissed me off. he has sucked this year and is going to complain about the fans? if i am sitting out in 100 degree heat and you suck and have sucked for 82 games i have every right to let you know it. i actually think the fans have been too lenient on this team this year. i could accept 3rd place with the injuries and all if they were at least playing up to their capabilities - but you can say not one of the so-called core players has come close to their capabilities this year.

Exactly..when a team has injuries guys need to step up and no bat .250

Stop worrying about the fans and start playing better..this whole team has been dead for months and he's gonna come out and bash the fans?!?!?!

He got all bent when the media kept asking about the slump earlier in the year...like you said he's gotten off easy so far

And Werth is on the block.

Edit: Olney says they are looking for a proven starter. Assume this would have to be a 3 way trade because whoever gives up a starter is going to want prospects.
