I read that before I read the Deadspin version. The one thing that stands out to me is that I think it's pretty fucked up that the team (ownership I assume) is putting blame on Franconas marriage situation and claiming he has a drug problem.

Also, I know I am saying this after the fact, which I hate when reporters do, and I am saying it from watching baseball on my couch but I always got the sense that Ellsbury didn't get along with everyone on the team. Everyone has different personalities but he just looked a bit detached from everyone and rarely looks like he's having a great time. I could be completely off base and wrong though.

I wish them well I will be attending Spring Training games in Fort Myers and in Jupiter Florida because of ALL the renewed interest in the soon to be restructured RED SOX team.
