    I don't think it was a case of changing his name, more like David Ortiz ate David Arias....he was 160 pounds back then

    I would be if they were 5 back. Boston has always been home to the June Championship. My problem lies with hypocrisy...mocking ARod's steroid use (I can't stand arod, he deserves everything he gets) and then 5 minutes later giving a standing ovation to a guy who has 3 HR's to go with his .196 average, who everyone knows juiced too. You're giving him a standing O for his 57 steroid addled HR's and the 2 titles he won with Manny, who is currentlly suspended for cheating. Christ, even Bill Simmons wrote a piece about hwo the entire 2004 team has links to steroids

    So far the weather seems to be holding up for tonight's game at Fenway... Yay!!! I must say, that Eddie gave Theo some good advice about signing Jason Bay last year after the Manny fiasco... :D I really do like him a lot... a real gentlemen and just an all around good ball player...

    I believe the fans are giving Ortiz those standing ovation more as a motivational tool than anything else. They love him whether he took anything or nothing. They want to see him get out of this slump and help the team which I think he will. It's good now that this decline is seen so future moves can be made to make changes to better the club.

    I actually live in Philly. Nothingman44 flew down from Providence and we went to the EV show tonight and will be going again tomorrow and then we're hitting the Red Sox Phillies games on Saturday and Sunday.

    There were a lot of Red Sox jerseys and hats at the Tower tonight. It seems like Red Sox Nation invaded Philly a little early because of EV.
