So what are the tribe going to do with all the Victor Martinez bobblehead dolls for V Mart bobblehead night tomorrow?

Are they included in the trade? ;)

    is that even true?

By the way, I went to Shea a few years ago and they had umbrella night and low and behold, it poured out.

well, 4 pm ... come and gone ...

but, if I remember correctly, Bay for Manny was announced a little after 4 ... so, about 20 minutes left in essence.

I will say this, my roto team is very happy Heath Bell was not traded away from the Padres ... would have lost a closer if that happened.

as long as the paperwork got into the mlb before 4 ... it's not over. sometimes they have to contact teams to sort out details.

I'm guessing it is done ... but, trades have been announced this late before.

Probably till the end of next year. If I'm Halladay, I'm not waiving my trade clause next year after the fiasco this turned out to be.

eh ... if the Jays are 15 games out and he has a chance to go to a contender for a few months to try and get a ring .... why not?

I wouldn't waive it unless the deal was in place and all that was needed was for me to sign off. Being on the auction block for the last 3 weeks had to be hard on him and his family.

this year, absolutely, as he has a year left on his contract, so, if someone got him he'd have to stay there next year ...

but next year, he only needs to be where ever he is traded for 2-3 months ... doesn't have to uproot the family until he signs a new deal in the 2010 offseason.

Is anyone watching the game right now?

In a 2-2 tie game, the Red Sox have got out of not one, but TWO bases loaded and no out jams in both the 8th and the 10th.

    Unreal.

Man it's frustrating playing the Rays at Tropicana Field, I'm starting to really dislike that field. What did Wakefield go on the DL for he's needed back in the pitching rotation?

    starting?

Man, that place has been a house of horrors for the Sox since that awful opening day game where Carl Crawford rocked a 9th inning game winning HR back in 2003!

Huge 4 game series starts tonight for the Sox vs. the MFYs. Smoltz isn't exactly who I'd like to see starting tonight against Chamberlain. I really think that if Smoltz implodes tonight, this may be his last outing. I hope he can return to form and not just prove that he's a shadow of his former self tonight.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

Not a great starter at all.

with a 5 ERA in 4 innings it wasn't meant to be.

Now in the 8th we need 9 runs just to catch up, we lost. . .

it's a shame beating the Yanks has come easy for us but tonight it looks bleak
