I'm about to head out to the game. The pitching matchup clearly favors the crew today, so we'll probably need to put up a few crooked numbers on the scoreboard. Good thing we have the best lineup in baseball.

Enjoy the game! I think its about time the Mets started kicking some ass at home, so hopefully Pelfrey will get some run support today (the Mets have only given him 4 runs of support over his last 4 starts). LETS GO METS!

That's totally true, (see my post above), but his ERA is not wonderful. Although I guess it could be worse.

I was actually a little concerned with taking Pelfrey out so early, but I gotta say, way to go David Newhan!

I don't know about this season, maybe next season. But at least Maine and Perez have been holding up pretty well.

Well, the season is long, so we'll have to see if they can keep this up. The truth is, when the Mets were running away with the NL, for almost the first half of the season I kept thinking it's too good to be true, but they kept it up. Maybe it'll be the same way with the Brewers. Only time will tell.

Alot of Brewer fans feel the same. We just don't believe how good this team is. They have lots of talent no doubt. Over-rated as somebody said. That is such sore loser talk IMO. It's a long season and I expect them to hit a losing streak. Until then I'm enjoying it. Best of luck tomorrow. Pink bat day.

Ok well we kicked the shit out of you today. So that's one win of the 25 they have this season. Why do you think they are overated? Ahh that's right cause we haven't beat any good teams. I will say the Mets are a pretty good team also. The Brewers are young and hungry and want to win. Best of luck tomorrow.

25-11. I don't care who you are playing. 25 wins is a lot of wins. And I don't doubt that out of 25 fucking wins, they must have beat someone good in there. Reminiscent of another very good team over in the AL- the Sox.

At this point, I think the only safe thing to say is they are definitely NOT bad. I think we'll have a better idea if they're overrated or not once we get closer to the All-Star Break (obviously). I think because its really the first year that this Brewers team is good, its hard to gauge how much is fluke/streakiness and how much is actual talent. Clearly there are talented players on the team, but are they really as good as they're playing right now? Well, I certainly won't say "no", but I'm not ready to say "yes" yet either.

Anyway, good luck tomorrow and the rest of the season.

Well, the bullpen blew up today. Over the course of 162 games these things happen. If we come back and take the rubber game tomorrow, its all good. This is a solid Brewers team here, I was very impressed seeing them in person. From lineup, to starters, to bullpen they are pretty fucking good. I still believe The Mets are head and shoulders above the rest of the NL and they will prove it in time, but I'll tell you, I'll bet when we go to Milwaukee in August these guys are completly alive in the playoff race, and will give us a tough time again.

    LETS GO METS!

Wow, Damien Easley. For a guy who doesn't play everyday, he sure has a bunch of home runs.

Hell fucking yea. Great pitching by Oliver Perez, and some great hitting by the Mets. That's what I love about this team, almost half the players weren't regular starters and they still scored 9 runs --> even Perez had an RBI single with 2 outs! Good work Mets!

Sorry to the Brewers, but we I think this might be an indication of how good they really are.
