I guess that's why they're in first and the Phillies are 6 games back.

Six games back before Memorial Day.

A sign of more bad things to come in Philly?

I just got off my latest ban, and had to register my delight with yesterdays game. Thats the type of game that really gets a team believing in themselves. I was at a similiar game in 99 against The Philies with Schilling on the mound. The Mets scored 5 in the 9th that day too, capped by a 2 run single by John Olerud, and the Mets went on a tear after that. This years team is twice the team the 99 one was, but nonetheless this should really get them fired up and rolling. The fact that Delgado got the game winner was huge as well. Now we got the hated Yankees coming in. I can't wait till gametime.

    LETS GO METS!

Its tough to say. Showers are expected in the afternoon. However, I went out there on Wednesday against the Cubs. After it rained for 2 hours the people I was with insisted that we leave. They ended up starting it at 10:15, so go figure. One things for sure, with a 4:00 start time, they could easily have you sit around for 4 hrs waiting for a window to play the game. Good Luck.

Uh well you only got 3-2, sorry. Let's see what happens the rest of the weekend.

You all have the better team right now, though, for sure. But this is only round 1

You mean a 3 game set in May means more to you than the World Series did? Anyhoo, great game last night. Yeah, my team lost, but it's games like those that make me love baseball.

oh dude it was 7 years ago move on seriously, hell ive even forgotten bout last year. dam u yankees fans just love to hold on to the past. those 26 world championships dont mean shit to me at all, its what matters in the now. the now is that your team is 10 games back and is gonna be 15 by next wednesday.

So by before, you mean only post October 2000? I'm very confused by your contradictory statements, and just would like a clarification. You've "never been so out for blood before" but these two teams met in a best of 7 series with a WS championship on the line. You weren't "out for blood" as you say back then?

You do realize what you're asking here right?

You want me to forget my team not just winning a World Series, not just their 3rd in a row, not just their 4th in 5 years, but winning a World Series in dominating fashion against the so called crosstown rivals, the Mets?

You compare that to you forgetting that your team went into the NLCS as a heavy, heavy favorite, and lost Game 7 at home, because Backwards K Karlos ended the season with his bat on his shoulders? You find that to be a reasonable comparison?

So no, I won't move on, but I will talk about the present. the Yankees presently have the longest active streak of division titles, at 9. The Mets are presently tied with Minnesota and Oakland for the shortest active streak of division titles, at 1.

i mean now as is in this season, way to sidestep that.your team is clearly on the verge of having there season over with and all u do is bring up these old facts that everyone knows.typically yanks fans, always brining up the past. i have no time for yanks fans like u, oh wait your just like all the resy of them. peace im outta here

FUCK DA YANKS AND THERE FANS

yes i really do think there outta it, i dont see them winning the next 4 games at all. u guys have 2 rookie pitchers against our aces this weekend and a lineup that didnt do all that well against a very hit or miss pitcher tonight

  • eh, I still think there is plenty of time left. It's not early anymore, but there are 120 games left. Things are about to turn up. The pitching has been great lately. pettitte made 2 mistakes tonight. Grooving one to Chavez expecting the bunt, and not going 3-3 with 2 HR's. Abreu is not gonna hot .220, Damon won't hit .252. Giambi is the one that worries me the most. I was praying for a walk tonight, cause I thought he had no shot against Wagner.

possibly an AL pitchers batting title as well

but anyway, The Bombers took one, no matter, The Amazins are on a roll, and they're in fine shape to take it down to Atlanta and Florida this week.
