    You know I have never been a Willie fan but gave him the benifit of the doubt being a die hard Met fan, but this is just getting fucking ridiculous..He should have been given the old dirty boot last year and now with all this shit he's still around? He is a fucking moron and should have kept his dumb mouth shut..or at least have some balls to stand behind his words..With all that bullshit aside, it's obvious that he has lost the clubhouse for good!     I won't pour salt in any open wounds. I just wanted to note that the play by Johan Santana to start the DP in the 7th inning was one of the best plays I've seen this year. In a long time, actually.

    i was at this game tonight and i feel bad for you met fans. i'm usually a very optimistic person but i saw nothing from the mets tonight that would indicate this is turning around anytime soon.

    that being said, omar minaya has to be more on the hot seat than his manager, not for what has happened to reyes but for signing luis castillo to a four-year deal, relying on the likes of injury-prone and older veterans such as moises alou and orlando hernandez.

    I'm not around the Mets a lot, but there's a certain vibe that reminds me a lot of 2002 and we all know how that turned out.

    I agree about Omar. i don't understand how he's kind of above all the blame.

    Castillo is a perfect example. The guys got nothing left, and he'll be around for 3 more years.

    Alou, I understood bringing him back at a realtively cheap price, but it was essential to have a legit 4th OF, as it was a guarantee that he would miss 60 games or more.

    The pitching staff---Not enough bodies. Everyone knows Perez is a wild card. Either 7 innings, 1 run, or 1 inning 7 runs. They needed more bodies. Pedro's the Moises Alou of pitching. Why didn't he sign Bartolo Colon? He liked him enough while with Montreal to give up Grady Sizemore, Cliff Lee, AND Brandon phillips. For that kings ransom (Wouldn't Washington love to have those 3) he got 16 starts from colon. he could've had him for a song this year?
    Heath Bell---he'll be closing in san diego soon. He should be already, hoffmann is surviving on his name at this point

    Trades---how many guys he shipped out could be helping them right now? Heath Bell, Brian bannister, etc...
