han rolls his eyes. luke glances at han and shakes his head. he turns his attention to the droid.
luke: the princess! luke looks at han who is mostly ignoring them. what is it? where is she? is she okay C3PO?
C3PO: im sorry master i can't help but notice something appears to be wrong
luke: oh its just han. he refuses to help save the princess.
C3PO: i dont quite understand humans master luke.
luke: C3PO! the princess??
C3PO: oh yes yes master luke i forgot....
han: who was listening cause afterall luke and the droid were talking about him. i have no conscience except that which can be bought. He claps his hand on luke's shoulder how much you got kid?
han grins and luke cant help but smile.
luke: i knew you'd help.
han: whatever. just dont get cocky on me. (oh yes i know i just ripped off lucas)
C3PO shuffles away followed by han and luke.

Han: No, Luke. I refuse to help you rescue said princess. I do this because I am selfish and out for personal gain only.
Luke: But Han, you must help me save her! Have you no conscience? Did your mother not teach you right from wrong?
Han: My mother was a darling woman.
Luke: I never knew my mother. Or my father.
Han: Think that's of some galactic significance?
Luke: *looks wistful*
Ha Ha!
Well done, well done.
I worked as a manager of a movie theatre when ep. I came out and we had a midnight showing in which I whipped up the crowd and was equally excited to watch along with them. After the show, I just sat in my seat, looking like an ewok who just discovered his mother was shot by a passing AT-ST. I couldn't bear to watch everyone shuffle out in silence. Now, I know Lucas isn't the best at dialogue or directing, but I had no idea he was so out of touch with reality. The prequels were AWFUL. Even ep. III. I was hoping to get a really deep, spiritual quest for Annakin based on J. Campbell's work like A New Hope was. I felt like Lucas was not only writing FOR his kids, he was writing AS his kids. When I was a kid watching the originals in the theatre, I understood all the complexity and nuance, as simple as it was. Why did the prequels have to be so devoid of context or subtlety? I can only think Lucas' ego got in the way.
ok.
ps-Obi Wan is the best. I think his story could have been told with much more gravitas in the prequels."Should I tell you my room is walled up? In what way might I leave it? Here is how; Goodwill knows no obstacle. Nothing can stand before a deep desire. All I have to do is imagine a door." -Schultz

Yes - the movie was almost worth it for the Star Wars geeks' reactions.
Liam Neeson... A grand fellow countryman.Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.0 -

when i saw phantom menace these what i assumed to be SW geeks behind me said as the credits rolled, "they didnt tell us who played darth sidious'
i couldnt help but laugh. i felt like turning around and saying, "do you really want to know? might spoil what is obviously gonna be a huge surprise for you two later on though."
come to think of it they cant have been SW geeks if they had no clue who played darth sidious. or who even darth sidious was.hear my name
