not very good, awful is the pittsburgh pirates, but 4-11 against the East is awful and these scores on saturday games is brutal.

  • this article is in the NY post today. I think it is right on and have thought this for the past few years. I'd take 9 paul o'neils / scott brosious any day of the week.

btw,....do we have ANYBODY in the minors to look out for in near future that can be an impact player? Just jackson??

Great back to back come from behind wins. The Yankees are now 6-2 since Alex's return. And Tex couldn't be happier.

  • How great was it to see Girardi go nuts on Gardenhire Fri night. Damn, that even got me going. I guess the team too. We needed a little of that. The dude was shakin! Gardner inside park homer helped too.

Hopefully, the boys can hang on to this one with no Mo in the 9th. Not Pettitte's best outing, but good enough if Coke finishes.

On a side note, I'm glad I drafted Morneau for my fantasy team this year. Big series for him this weekend.

They're playing like winners now. Like that Cervelli. 8-2 since A-Rod's return.

    Yankees are awful...

a team in the toughest division in baseball over 500 is aweful

not to mention 7 wins in a row. The players said it themselves they are capable of going on runs like this. Baseball is not football. don't be so quick to judge a team based on one, two or even 5 games.

It is a season. they play 162 not 16

Would like for Hughes to make another start. We'll see what they do with Wang this week.

  • Rather than the big names, my favorite new yanks to watch have been swisher and cervelli.
Swisher's attitude and energy mainly (more than performance) & same with Cervelli though he has exceeded my expectations as a player too.

    Tex defense is incredible too.

If you're ever in Midtown, you should go to Foley's on 33rd street and order his "Swish and Chips". I think one dollar from every order goes to his charity.

    LETS GO YANKEES

I was reading pete abrahm's blog today and they made a mention of how toronto is 1-5 against boston and the yankees.

Seems their hold on first place is destined to fall. That one win was when Halladay was on the mound.

9 in a row is awesome.

You got to give them credit for holding in this long using three rookies and a reliever in their rotation.
