  • Ok let me just throw this out there.....

Over the past few years what moves has Brian Cashman made that have really turned out right for the Yanks. I would say 90% have failed. Bobby Abreau was a great move I'll give him that. But think of all the others. Mostly in the pitching staff. Yes, he's had some bad luck and the team has had the injury black cloud follow them but I'm not a big fan of the moves Cashman has made and the teams he's put together. The Yanks have had great players the past few years NOT a great team.

Watching the game last night they announcers eluded to this when talking about a chat they had with Andy Pettite. Andy pretty much said the same thing.

Anyway.....thoughts on Cashman? He really doesn't take much heat.

The forecast calls for a cool clear night, with no chance of cockroaches tonight. A nice Yankee win, coupled with the Sox getting trashed by the O's, 11-5 thru 6 innings and 4 Red Sox "pitchers". Looks like Clay Bucholz may have to fall back on his 2nd career choice, Laptop Thief
you comparing the yanks pitchers to the sox is even more ridiculous. the yanks invented bad choices in pitching.

I had the Sox fans in mind. You can never find them when Th e Sox lose, and if you couple it with a Yankee win, they're really in hiding. If the Yankees beat the Sox, especially at Fenway, they enter the Witnes Protection program. Ponson's gonna have to pitch the game of his life tomorrow. halladay's a beast. Do the guys in the bullpen bother to even show up when he pitches?
i guess since the yanks lose so frequently its why you all are here.

whats that 6 games over .500 now?

    gotta be proud

oh, looks like you have some free time tonight. Couldn't make it to the computer last night, when the Orioles drubbed the laptop Thief, eh? At least the Yankees got their ass handed tot ehm by a decent team with one of the best pitchers in baseball. You got punked by the immortal Chris Waters and the last place Orioles. And what'd you do? You hid like a coward until the yankees lost.
winning a series against a team is always a good thing, something the yanks have done how many times since the break?

and btw i was closing on a house last night sorry.

but right im the coward who hides behind a screen name  i cant wait to lambast you all fall when the yankees are at home.

    what a douche.

Side Dish: Yankees eyeing Bruce Springsteen to close Stadium

    - Buzz is building that the Yankees are cooking up a musical extravaganza for the Stadium's closing ceremony in November. Word is George Steinbrenner and son Hank want something to rival the sayonara shows that the Mets got Billy Joel to do at Shea. Mentioned to perform at the House That Ruth Built are Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney, though sources close to both rockers weren't aware of any discussions. A Steinbrenner rep had no details.

The Boss would be more fitting. Glory Days? That would be a great way to close out the stadium seeing as there won't be any postseason baseball to do it.

I like to lurk in your most entertaining thread :D. Since I've seen a few references to Irabu, here ya go....

Ex-Yankee pitcher Hideki Irabu - once ridiculed by George Steinbrenner as a "fat, pus-y toad" - was arrested in Osaka, Japan, today for allegedly assaulting a bartender after drinking 20 mugs of beer, a police official said.

Irabu, 39, became angered after his credit card was rejected. He allegedly pushed the bartender against the wall, pulled his hair and smashed at least nine liquor bottles. The bartender sustained no injuries.

    20 mugs!!!!!! I love it :D.

invented it? Then you must believe that the Sox didn't win for four score and 6 years because of the curse. Most baseball fans agree they didn't win for 86 years because they had shitty pitching for most of those 86 years.

And you still don't get it. I don't expect or even want you in here every night, or after after every yankee win. It's just that by disappearing every time the Yanks win and the Sox lose, you prove me right time after time.

Hughes didn't have a good game today for Scranton. I think he was moved up a day. I read he had the flu recently.

    3.1ip 10h 8r 8er 1bb 6k 1hr 8.47 era. 86 pitches 60 for strikes.

Although the score in that game so far is 12-12 in the bot 9th.

According to Chad Jennings blog of SWB games. Hughes had a 4 run 2nd inning. But it was mostly unlucky that inning. But after was hittable. SWB also clinched a playoff spot.

just let the mathematics dictate that.

these shows will be of the epic proportions-

Bruce being an admitted Yankee fan since the days of the M & M Boys .

Surely he'll be honored to do this,...

YES has also showed him up at The Stadium attending the game(s) with his kids on numerous occasions.

    Toronto 11
    Boston 0

is this the first year The NFL is playing preseason games against the CFL? (Canadian Football League)

Wait, what? That's a baseball score? Lester got a pitching lesson from Jesse Litsch?

Boston scored more runs in last nights game then the yankees managed to get over the three game series against Toronto earlier in the week.
