his career ERA is 4.36, in 181 games. Lets see chubbs chamberlain make it to 100 games. You've been exposed.

Try to come come correct. class dismissed, its been real, i'll be back with the Yanks tee times in a few weeks.

Does it bother yanks fans that the sox are the only team that can spend over 100 mill on payroll and win?

come come correct? I guess this wasn't english class. nice talking to ya, Nixon. Declare victory and get out. What exactly has been "exposed" ?

I'm glad that the Yanks won. But there's not much to be happy about. The Yankees should be winning these games by the 4th inning. I'm not saying teams have to lay down for us. But seeing how the Red Sox and Rays manhandle Texas pitching. And the Yankees struggling to score against them. And now against the Royals. I don't like it when it's the 5th inning. And we haven't moved a runner to 3rd. And Phil Hughes got prescription glasses. Maybe during the off-season he'll get laser. If he's eligible.

you mean the team that finished in 2nd place in 2006?Sandwiched between the 1st place Yankees and 3rd place Red Sox? That was the year the Sox lost 5 straight at Fenway to some other AL East team. It also helps that they gey're playimg a shitty team right now. Paul Byrd? You can't be serious. Looks like he hasn't had a dentist appointment lately, to get his HGH
  • Beckett's looking not even slightly overrated today. Toronto bats around in the first. Yankees score 6 in the first, Ace Beckett gives up 6 (and counting, only 2 out so far) in the first, and I don't think we'll see too many cockroaches today

As a Red Sox fan I find there are two types of fans. Loudmouth confrontational jackass fans and Other.

It doesn't matter the team. 80% of Yankee fans are Donkey's and the same holds true for the Sox.

It is very easy to tell over the last few posts where those on this board fall.

Those posting heavily with anger and venom. Take a look in the mirror. You are what you call out. Change that NY to a B and there is no difference.

    Yeah. I'm talking to you.

    lmao! oh man

Its fun being an ass sometimes and shit talking..it adds to the rivalry but yea no need to get crazy about it. Shit I was with 2 red sox buddies yest and admitting how bad we suck this yr. It is what it is and its just a game. We're not the ones playing it so what difference does it make

now HOCKEY on the other hand..anyone talks shit about my Rangers Im dropping the gloves! :D.

Stickboy you're a riot, like I said in an earlier spleel it's just a fucking game. The players I betcha DON'T caught in all this back and forth I hate Boston, I hate NYC nonsense. I've been around too long and a fan too long to get All bent out of shape over a game kids mainly play.

I've got too much other important shit to do like mowing my lawn, I wish all the teams the best. Damn the Rays are STILL hanging tough.

NEW YORK (AP)—Injured slugger Hideki Matsui is back with the Yankees and is likely to be activated Tuesday, when the club begins a six-game trip at Toronto.

Matsui had 15 at-bats during a simulated game at the Yankees’ spring training complex in Tampa, Fla. on Sunday, facing left- and right-handed pitching. Manager Joe Girardi said the balky left knee that has derailed the rehab process several times seems to be holding up.

“Every time he would get to bat, it would just blow up, but it hasn’t this time,” Girardi said. “So far the knee is good and we’ll make a decision tomorrow,” when the team has a day off.

Out since June 27, Matsui homered Friday night for his only hit in a doubleheader for Class A Tampa. He went 1-for-3, including a line drive single to right, and a walk in his third rehab game for Tampa on Saturday night.

“I’m very happy, definitely happy, and the only thing left is do whatever I can to help the team,” Matsui said through a translator after his simulated game on Sunday. “I’ll just have to try and see what happens, but I’m sure I’ll be able to help the team.”

Matsui is batting .323 with seven homers and 34 RBIs in 69 games this season. He decided not to have surgery last month in an attempt to rejoin the team this season.

“I had some doubts as far as the surgery, but as far as making the decision to try and make it back, I had no doubts,” Matsui said. “I believe in myself, and I had no doubts.”

Girardi also said he’s keeping an eye on right-hander Phil Hughes, who is slated to start Sunday for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, and right-hander Carl Pavano, who will pitch for Double-A Trenton.

One of them will likely pitch at Baltimore this week, when the Yankees need a fifth starter.

The Yankees began the day 9 1/2 games behind the Tampa Bay Rays in the AL East, and six games back of the Boston Red Sox for the wild card.

if all goes well we'll be back to within 5 behind the wild card and hopefully TB loses tonite, back to 8 and 1/2 behnd 1st place...just get close boys b4 those critical series. Its all I want

A-rod 3-3 with risp. Rays play the Angels and Boston plays Baltimore. I hope the Angels do the Rays what they've done to the Yanks. And Baltimore better play spoilers.

Agreed here, may the Angels murder the Rays as they have the Sox.

well, after Toronto smacked Josh The Bitch Beckett around and humiliated him, you're 4 1/2 back, so yeah, Boston's still a ton of games behind Tampa, asuming Tampa's 7-2 lead holds up. 8 earned runs, 9 outs. Ouch

Hughes didn't have a good outing tonight.

I still think he should start on Saturday.
Pavano had a good game for Trenton.

yea but why worry about what kind of record we need to finish with to make the playoffs. Yanks just gotta take it one game at a time and worry about getting close enough like 4-5 games behind when we face off against the Sox next week. Can you say NERVOUS NATION if we come in that close? I think we could sweep yall and even abuse TB at home and make things REAL interesting in 2 weeks. Septembers OUR month boys :D
we do it every yr, lets do it again.last yr they wrote us off after a horrid start, like what, 14 games behind?
If I was Girardi all I had to do is get copies of those tombstones in the NY papers and post them in each players locker room..nuff said

Damn. I first place probably won't happen for us. The Rays are beating the Angels. Angels are now deciding to slump.
