I didn't see or hear about his admission. When was this? I knew he had to be on something.

He said he's not sure if he'd ever taken it or not, blaming it on Dominican protein shakes. Anytime a guys career HR line looks like this:

    HR (AB)

    10 (415) 18 (303) 20 (412) 31 (448) 41 (582) 47 (601) 54 (558) 35 (549)

and his body begins to betray him, it's safe to assume something's up. Especially when that guy used to look like this:

    http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ortizsteroids

Ortiz told the Boston Herald that he could not say definitively if he had ever used performance-enhancing drugs in the past. The burly designated hitter also said that if he did, it happened when he was much younger.

well said. I have no problem with a Sox fan who wants to come in here an d talk baseball. And I would put up with a Sox fan who came in here and tried to gloat, as long as he wasn't MIA when things aren't going his way. It's that guy, Tommy Toughnuts, the Fenway Frontrunner, who's been a diehard Sox fan since 2003, that I have absolutely no respect for. The last weekend of July just proved that most Sox fans are frontrunners. Today's display just further proved that.

Well I see your point many have jumped on in the last 10 years. I've been around since the days of Yaz and Dewy, Fisk and Luis Tiant 1972 to be exact.

Therefore everything Beantown, however we shall see how this season plays out.

"Boston always seems to have this inferirority complex with you guys..Ive never heard the Yankees care so much on games or even at the games I went to the point where they have RED SOX SUCK chants..but they on the other hand always seem to focus all their attention to hating you all and always have YANKEES SUCK chants"

"ya I know I told him cause they never WON shit, they only have like...what 3 world series? and they never GONNA win shit again" Theyre ALWAYS gonna hate and care more about wat we do than how they do...its weird isnt it? kinda like the black/white thing..theyre the minority, lmao
sorry i fell asleep when THE PAST came up again, seriously do yanks fans share a brain?

I'm Never obsessed I've got 6 more years at least before it ever gets that far. I'm just cruising along enjoying what's happening cause the rest of Beantown is doing a fairly good job.

We seem to always in the mix as a sports championship town so until it falls dead (hell even the BRUINS are on the rise), I'll sit back and enjoy another toke on my cigar. :)

how can I say overrated? By looking at the numbers. 11-8 3.92 ERA. 5.02 ERA in 2006. Let me know when Joba pitches to a 5.02 ERA. But hey, Joba threw almost 4 innings of postseason ball. He must be a choker. Except his ERA is less than the 5.02 Beckett threw over a whole season. And if Joba is so overrated, how come Youkilis wets his pants every time he stands in against him? Or Manny begs out of the lineup with a fakke knee injury? Oh, that's right. You probably hate Manny now. You defended him like he was a 1st class guy for 8 years, what happened? Typical frontrunner.

2 rings one world series mvp

    career Earned run average 3.76
    Strikeouts 1066

    0.94 era in 07 postseason

need i go on about his overated ness

seriously did beckett turn down your advances? are you a scorned stalker?

At least in terms of the last 13 years. When it comes to the last 100 years, I'm not that good with fractions, to divide 26 by 3

here comes the past train, that all ya got ,ancient history. seriously 8 fucking years.

based on 4 good years, and a steroid quasi admission? Not likely. The hard proof will come out soon (in addition to the body breaking down proof we're already seeing)

As for Beckett, way to have the same ERA and less wins than Kyle Lohse
way to be a complete moron and not look up his actual stats.

funnny, coming from a guy who's obsessed with a team you supposedly don't even like. What, did you try out for the team and get shot down? Ok, he was great in the postseason last year. In what, 4 starts? We're talking about a guy with the same ERA and les wins than Kyle Lohse. How do you spin his 5.02 ERA from just a few years ago? Joba's ERA as a starter? 2.74. And Youkilis needs a diaper when he hits against him. And Manny faked a knee injury to get out of playing against him.

his career ERA is 4.36, in 181 games. Lets see chubbs chamberlain make it to 100 games. You've been exposed.

Try to come come correct. class dismissed, its been real, i'll be back with the Yanks tee times in a few weeks.

Does it bother yanks fans that the sox are the only team that can spend over 100 mill on payroll and win?

The last 10 years---2 WS titles and 4 AL Pennants

But I'll humor you. the last 7 seasons--just 2 AL pennants. As many as any team in baseball over the last 7 seasons. You talk tough for a guy whose team went 86 years between titles. And for a guy who disappears upon a 2 game losing streak.
