  • bad move by Girardi there. You have to walk Crede to set up a double play, or a force at every bag at the least.
  • I think he should have left Hughes in after the rain too.
I finally looked sharp. I know its a risky thing to do but floyd stayed in

  • once bitten, twice shy. He left josh Johnson in the game in a similar situation with Florida, and Johnson eventually needed TJ surgery and hasn't pitched since 2006. There's no proof that that game had anything to do with it, but I'm sure he's very cautious about that now

What is up with Giradi banning candy from the clubhouse? Even on their away games they ask for opposing teams to take candy out of the clubhouses. they have been replaced with dried fruit and granola in an attempt to promote a healthier team.....

    Seems odd and interesting.

    Not even Junior Mints!???

I just read this article - maybe he thinks some of the Yanks have some extra pounds to shed.......

  • Bruney is likely out for the year with a torn ligament in his ankle. I think Farnsworth screwed up his elbow last night. I havn't heard anything, but I've had a Tommy John feeling since watching him drop on the mound last night. That field was in bad shape, and it swalowed up at least one Yankee casualty, maybe 2. But hey, on the plus side, they won't have to play a doubleheader later in the year

And he's right, look at a few of them ... Mind, its a tad unlikely that banning candy from the clubhouse will somehow make a huge difference to the team's overall performance.

Anyone listen to the Yanks on the radio? I am a HUGE Yankees fan but I can't take the radio broadcast anymore. I love Sterling, a little over the top but you got to love him. But between Suzyn Waldman and the never-ending sponsors I can't take it anymore.

Waldman first, I will admit she knows her stuff. I will not argue that, but I just can’t stand her Boston accent and her unnecessary banter. Not to mentions she doesn’t shut up. But I can get past that, here is my real issue….

I don’t know why but it drives me crazy when every 2 pitches there is a commercial. Between station breaks, and “the 15th out is brought to you by Geico….”. It seems like everything is sponsored now a days. I know this is petty but it drives me nuts. And also, why does everyone on the post game show get a gift certificate for a steak dinner? Jeter is making 20+ million this season, why is he getting a gift certificate for a steak dinner?

it's the only way i can hear the games during the week, i work at night. and what really sucks for me is the reception. there are no windows, so the AM reception is cut down, but around 8pm, the station cuts back on it's broadcast strength, so it's even more impossible to hear. i can hear them talking but don't know exactly what they're saying. but, if something happens during the game (a hit, a strikeout, end of inning summaries), sterling lifts his voice, so i can at least hear when something is going on and always get the score after the inning. it's a bit frustrating, but i've been listening like that for so long now, i'm really used to it.

Damn the Yanks are being no-hit through 5 innings so far. And Mussina is having himself another fine start so far also.

It may have been a costly win as A-rod re-aggrivated his quad injury. They said he is out for tonight & may miss a few games. Ugh, between him & Posada going on the DL, the rest of the line-up needs to step up.
