    as i finished the joint, i thought of how different arlo and davey were. arlo was willing to share details of his life that i didn't even have to ask about. he volunteered the information. i know why he did it of course, but that is something davey never did. i guess i'm a little to blame there. it's not like i ever volunteered information about my life. god i'm an idiot. sascha is arlo's sister. hello? fuck i'm spacey sometimes. though to be fair, i was rather distracted when arlo told me about her. so if i wanted to keep arlo in my life, which i did,(well at least i think i did) then the price was openness and honesty. i could give that a go. might even be a nice change. and besides it'd give me something new to talk about with dr. mcintyre. i sat watching the moon for a while before i went back inside. i was hoping arlo would be asleep, but he wasn't. he smiled as i walked into the room.

    sitting opposite beth at dizzie's hearing what gerard thought about my not wanting to involve the police about vincent, i realised all i could think about was arlo. i did hear her talking, but what she said, i couldn't tell you.
    the last guy who was that upfront with me had been david. and that's only cause as my counsellor, it was his job. i know davey let be do whatever the hell i wanted and he rarely called me on any of my shit. i'm not blaming him for anything. i guess what i'm really doing is wondering how far i could push arlo and get away with it. he said he could forgive me just about anything. should i test whether he was being honest with me? or should i actually learn to trust someone and take them at their word? beth jolted me out of my private musings.

    'anna! you're not even listening to me. have you heard a single word i've said? what, or should i say who, are you thinking about?'

    i looked at her.

    Yes Arlo is his name. What to say? I don't know, he's just great really. I'm not sure but i don't recall ever feeling this way.

    'when. when did i say i was in love? all i said was i'd never felt this way before. i don't know what it is about arlo. and quite frankly i don't much care. he's willing to be there for me and he actually got me to share stuff that i wouldn't have normally. i want this to work beth that's all. i'm tired of being alone.'
