    she was driving him crazy. this was worse than when they were together. he had to resolve this before one of them exploded. naturally he was thinking of himself but his money was on anna, though she did seem to be in control more than he did somehow.

    Anna was less worried than Davey because she knew it could be fixed. She could sit and listen and sort it out. Davey just got overwraught sometimes. He was so passionate his mind took him into dark places.

    Anna was a bit relieved because she needed a little room too. She was so in love it was distracting her from everything else she was supposed to be doing.

    standing in front of a half finished canvas, i could hear gerard somewhere. he was annoying even when he was in a different room.
    what the hell was i thinking?
    spending time with gerard , trading insults, dancing around each other trying to avoid the tension was driving me a little spare. what exactly was it that he wanted from me?
    when he walked into the room and handed me a glass of red wine, i couldn't believe what i was seeing. the fact that he knew me well enough to presume such a thing unnerved me.
    the fact that there was someone else who maybe knew me that well, without me even noticing, could open up a door that should in all likelihood remain shut.

    before gerard could respond, the anger i felt got the better of me and i hurled the glass across the room. it shattered against a photograph davey had taken. i took a deep breath, rested my hands on my hips and looked at gerard. he looked a little shocked to say the least.

    damn it gerard why did you have to say that. i can't handle you being around if you dig at me like that. it's not fair. and i'm really sorry for calling you a faggot. i really am.
