Me neither. It's on my list when I do my Nashville/Memphis/Dollywood/Graceland roadtrip someday! I do love me some Dolly - saw her on her bluegrass tour a few years back and she was great.
Y'all are making me want to download that EP...but I don't want to buy it twice, and I know I'll end up getting the vinyl when it comes out. Hm.
"What happens when so many people agree on something? Can we take this beyond the parking lot when we leave tonight?" -EV, Iconoclasts
Never did the Dollywood thing.....that side of the National Park is a little too built-up and crowded for my tastes. If we go to the mountains, it's for the national park, not the "attractions." Once I had to do Dolly's "Dixie Stampede" dinner theater...what a rip-off.
Downloading the ep as I type.
Darlin', I can see I need to add to your education. This Canton, Georgia sweetie has been to Dollywood...at Christmas no less. And I had the joy of taking 12 eleven year old girls to Dixie Stampede...like herding cats....
So plan on taking the iPod on our long awaited trip to Tennessee and we can play the new ep on the way!!!!
p.s. Merry Christmas, PBM! Love to you and yours!

Remember, if you buy the EP off iTunes, you can use the "Complete My Album" preference so that you don't duplicate songs when it's released in full.

Enjoy the Volunteer State. Be sure to check out Lookout Mountain.
And on your way, stop off in Lauderdale County...there's a nice little community near the border that you can zip in and out of rather quickly.

I am so in love with this band right now...that I won't mind owning multiple copies to help keep them in Jack and PBR.
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.

I'm just not going to do it - I'm going to wait - I've listened to a few blurbs, but I'm going to wait...
But it's so damn good...
The Man has a branch office in each of our brains, his corporate emblem is a white albatross, each local rep has a cover known as the Ego, and their mission in this world is Bad Shit.
I am in love with the Shonna song off of the ep on first listen.....Purgatory Line...great stuff.

She's got an old-school-country-twang to her voice.

I'm really digging her tunes. I wonder why she waited this long to contribute? She's a good songwriter.
Previously, with 3 great songwriters...I imagine it was hard enough at that time. With Jason leaving, she developed a great opportunity to showcase her talent.

A young Tanya Tucker comes to mind. Apparently, Shonna and I heard a lot of the same music growing up...this is a real country sound.
"Jesus walked on water.....where did he get those shoes...." Brilliant, simply brilliant.

Heh. No offense taken, I don't think she sounds anything like Neko! Shonna's great, but Neko's a goddess.
Now Tanya Tucker...you might have hit the nail on the head there, ty.
Don't forget to qualify that as "young" Tanya Tucker.

Any opinions on this one yet? It's out there if you look hard enough. A little overwhelming at 1st (19 songs, 75+ minutes, huge variety of songs, Shonna singing). A much more country record than their last few, although there are a couple of rockers.

Have only heard the songs on the ep..........I'm happy.
In other DBT news, I scored a vinyl copy of "Southern Rock Opera" the other day.

I like the live version of Goode's Field Road better than the studio...there's something about those intro's by Patterson that make the song that much better.
I guess they don't translate to the record...still a great song nevertheless.
Haven't had a chance to listen to the whole thing yet...about 1/3 of the way through...good stuff so far.

Pre-ordered my t-shirt/cd bundle from the website...did not pay for release date delivery since I will be out of the country.
The web site was really slow when I ordered, so be forewarned.

I'll be at the Milwaukee, St. Louis, and Louisville shows on the first leg of the tour - hope to see some of you there!
Have fun....a little out of my travel range for spring.

Yeah, I'm not sure about the Anaheim show. It's a weeknight, and there are three bands so it's gonna be a late one. Combined with a 1 1/2 hour drive I'm thinking I'll wait it out. On the other hand, it is the tour kickoff...
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.
