When questioned about the sources, the reply was Dan Bongino, ZeroHedge, Tim Pool and NY Post. That is the better source of information and the truth more so than Reuters, AP, NPR. I mean, un-fucking-believable how brainwashed these people are. Sensationalized opinions are news and news sources are lies and divisive? I'm all for diverse news sources because I want information that isn't presented with an angle unless it's an opinion piece, but it seems people are now following any schmuck with a podcast, TikTok or X account who don't actually fact check (oooh, the bad thing liberals do) or confirm their stories' sources. Yikes!0

I am neither leftist or screeching. I just have this strange habit of critical thinking. None of these make sense as a platform for a political party. But if you can think of a law that ensures that "academics and non profit staffers do not occupy a unique position of virtue" without violating the Constitution, I'd love to hear it.0 -

If only one of the candidates had a proposal to help 1st time home buyers.
Edit: did he have ANY plan for the economy besides tariffs?
And this isn't the trump thread so I don't know why that keeps being the response. We're not talking about trump, we're talking about issues. And that's one of the reasons why Kamala lost, they focused more on trump than policy.
I completely agree with HFD when he said "looking back, I feel like dem's biggest mistakes in 2016 and 2024 were running on character instead of hard policy. No one seems to care if the president is a POS, as long as he gets some shit done that they deem important. "Post edited by mace1229 on0 -

This election didn't happen in a vacuum, people had two choices.
Of the two choices, one of them had a better plan for the economy... I don't doubt that people voted for him for economic reasons, but those people are poorly informed about the past, the present, and what each candidate offered for the future.
Blame democrats' messaging all you want*, but if people refuse to come out of their information bubble, IDK how you expect them to be reached.
(*i don't disagree, dem's messaging was a part of the problem, but it was by no means the only reason they lost)Post edited by Merkin Baller on0 -

i keep hearing about the dem messaging but how do they get that messaging to the people they need to hear it? most of this country receive their information from right wing sources whether they know it or not. people that watch fox and spend their time on social media aren't going to see dem messaging. in a blind survey 80+% preferred her policies. but again policy doesn't matter because a lot of this country is just pissed off and want a show. This show, another show, a show here and a show there.0
