WASHINGTON (AP) — In March, after an Alabama court halted in vitro fertilization procedures in the state, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz decided to speak about his struggle to have children with his wife, Gwen. The same month, his team sent a fundraising email titled “our IVF journey” sharing an article that referenced “his family’s IVF journey” in the headline.

And earlier this month, Walz criticized Ohio Sen. JD Vance, the Republican candidate for vice president, by saying, “If it was up to him, I wouldn’t have a family because of IVF.”

In introducing himself to voters as Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris ’ running mate, Walz has made his family’s struggle with fertility a central part of his narrative, a tangible way to connect with voters alarmed at the erosion of reproductive rights in the U.S. But Gwen Walz on Tuesday issued a statement that detailed the experience more comprehensively and disclosed that they relied on a different process known as intrauterine insemination, or IUI.

So this is a controversy to you? IVF vs IUI? 

It’s the second bullet after the one about feminine hygiene product dispensers in boys/men’s rooms in their letter to the Kamala Kampaign, komrade.

No it is not. Just pointing out the facts about what Tim has said since you gave a quote about it.

I’m sure the attack of ‘moving the goal posts’ will be levied, but IUI/IVF, they are both needing medical science to intervene in conception and advocating for the most commonly known one makes sense. 

Again, if that’s all they have to dig in on, fine. It’s a nothing burger. At the end of the day one party wants it to end and the other has its back. Pretty clear cut on who to support.

I was referring to his statement at the campaign stop...different from what you posted.

On this we agree. I'm sure they exist but I haven't seen any polls that show how the support moves when they ask 3-way vs. 2-way with Harris. I remember seeing some when Biden was still in and it basically split with him and Trump. Didn't seem right to me but who knows.

Edit: Maybe not clear but I'm saying they poll Harris v Trump v Kennedy then remove Kennedy and ask again

My theory is that RFK, jr. Pulled more from POOTWH than Brandon/Kamala and that most of them will return to POOTWH. But those folks are a lost % just like MAGA is. There’s no winning them back, they’re gone. Focus on the “indies,” the vast majority of which are repub or repub leaning and some of which can be convinced to get on board.
