Voting for good people do. Blowing the system up doesn’t fix it either. But what aggravates people is, the system moves slowly. I could quote a PJ lyric but it’s cringe. Change happens slowly. Trump will drain the swamp, and fill it with different swamp water. I don’t get how you can’t see that.Post edited by Tim Simmons on0

Sorry that’s the way it is.TBH, there are only a handful of posters in these threads that truly want to engage in good faith discussion. Yeah, it doesn’t help when people just post cringe Facebook shit and boomer name calling like Donald Dump and the orange Cheeto, or something dumb. But I’m also not seeing conservative posters coming with their A game either.Post edited by Tim Simmons on0

But sure. What would you like to discuss? How the poll numbers look stronger everyday? The convention this week? Her economic plan?0

But also, there are 2 candidates running, obviously discussion of one is going to bring up the other because people want to contrast, so it’s dumb to point out he comes up in discussion. Of course he will, he’s the other candidate.0

So Harris is proposing a $10k first time homebuyer credit (which we have seen a few times) and $25k down-payment assistance which is likely something that will be paid back by the user.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

The credit is great and anything the government can do to boost supply is incredibly important, but I'm not sold on the assistance aspect.

Maybe don’t use the word banning? These seem good on the surface but I’m sure it’s not all gravies.
Honestly, there is not enough in that article to know if these are good ideas or bad ideas. Or even just nice ideas but how they are paid for are bad ideas or good ideas.
I dislike the idea of giving $25,000 to people to buy homes....but prove to me it's good and works out in the end for more than just people taking $.
I'm not really a fan of child tax credits at all, but can be convinced of it if shown the why behind the decision, and most seem for it, so might be some ignorance on my part.
The "price-gouging" item is either the best or worst idea. Government manipulating the market so directly is a touchy place to be.Where’s your patriotism, bud?

“ Someday some reporter will figure out how to explain to the American public how post-Covid inflation was a worldwide phenomenon caused by pent-up demand and that the Biden/Harris administration handled it better than every other country.”0
