The "price gouging" stuff does float pretty close to socialism, I have to say.
Most people would use the newborn tax credit just to pay the damn hospital bill.It mentioned it in the article....again, no specifics.

It's so so so much harder to buy a starter home than it used to be. Looks like they are calling it "Down payment support" which suggests something like the loan I discussed above where it is paid back each year on the borrowers tax return.

They want to blame Biden for inflation but not give him the power to cap prices by profitable corporations? Why?These are great questions.0 -

Kamala……. “Puttin’ a Cap in your Groceries!”
😂😂😂😂😂 Those evil grocers been getting away with it so long.Took her a month to come up with that? Maybe she could answer questions why Apple has a 21% margin, but it’s ok. And grocers have a 1.6% margin and they are enemy #1.Post edited by teskeinc on0 -

Honestly, there is not enough in that article to know if these are good ideas or bad ideas. Or even just nice ideas but how they are paid for are bad ideas or good ideas.
I dislike the idea of giving $25,000 to people to buy homes....but prove to me it's good and works out in the end for more than just people taking $.
I'm not really a fan of child tax credits at all, but can be convinced of it if shown the why behind the decision, and most seem for it, so might be some ignorance on my part.
The "price-gouging" item is either the best or worst idea. Government manipulating the market so directly is a touchy place to be.hippiemom = goodness0 -

The "price-gouging" item is either the best or worst idea. Government manipulating the market so directly is a touchy place to be.I’m quite liberal and also dislike the $25k handout. First, she will get reamed by the right for no reason. This is aimed at a specific part of the public that does not vote, and will simply raise prices $25k. And it will never pass congress next year with Manchin gone and the senate GOP majority. Since women became a major part of the work force 30 years ago, what happened to housing? It went up significantly because families had a new source of income to pay more for a house.0 -

Harris is as fake as they come. She has done nothing in her life that would indicate she should be POTUS. It is laughable, not one person voted for her. She was anointed by Obama and Pelosi.
She has been the VP for over 3 years. Not one thing has improved in those 3 years. In fact, everything has gotten so much worse.0 -

Well, it can’t be oil production as the US just pumped more oil than any country ever. She was tasked as “Border Czar” or finding the root cause of C America problems. Either way she failed miserably.Keeping her quiet tells you what the DNC thinks of how she can handle herself in the spotlight. If she opens her mouth it only hurts her chances.Post edited by teskeinc on0 -

Concerning that they released a few hundred on the terror watchlist in to the country. I’m sure they will change their ways and get a job at one of the state run Kamala Grocery Stores!0
