Let's all find comfort in that.
I would if I could move there.

My wife is already insisting we move out of the country.  I don't know whether I want to stay and fight or just watch this place fall apart.  The irreparable damage that will be done over the next 4 years is too much to think about.
I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.

My final thoughts on this election and my FINAL post in this thread

The American people saved this Country from further decline. Donald Trump is not the savior, he is the messenger. He still has powerful forces against him.  The Republican and Democrat swamp have a lot to lose if Trump does follow through with his promises.

For me, he needs to pull the curtain on Government corruption and incompetence. He needs to expose the DOJ/FBI for their involvement in RussiaGate and J6.  He needs to hold Fauci/NIH accountable for the lies. He needs to promote peace. He needs to stop illegal immigration. He needs to kill DEI and the Woke mind virus of the military. He needs to bring back the American dream for everyone. He has a lot to do in four years.

A quick observation: for those of you that commented in this tread, I suggest getting away for the State Media and cable news. I have said this before, you are being lied to.  Believe it or not at your knowledge peril, Twitter is the best place to go for information. I suggest you seek out a few people that you can trust to be truthful in various subject matters. For instance, last night I did not watch cable news at all until around 2am. My wife was watching it and I had so much better and more up-to-date information from Twitter than what she was given by the so-called news people on TV.

Finally, maybe I should start a Forum Thread for “PJ Fans That Voted for Trump”. Look for it, maybe.

    Happy days are here again….

It would be truly ironic if he, of all people, did that.

Fauci and NIH absolutely have to be held accountable. I'm vaccinated and don't regret it but forcing experimental vaccinations developed by historically corrupt companies is amongst the worst things government has done in my lifetime.

That said, a very unserious self-centered narcissist surround by others who want power that will never be relinquished doesn't seem like the person to save us.

I also can't take anyone seriously that uses the phrase "woke mind virus."

I'm thinking along the same lines because I'm having a really hard time with the notion of living out my last years in a racist, homophobic, xenophobic, hate-filled, fascist, pro-dictatorship country that is populated by so many millions of ignorant fools.

I get really annoyed with the "I'm leaving the country" crowd. Although, if promises are kept, a lot of people will be leaving the country, but not by choice.

    I agree with this.

Donald Trump is very flawed, but I have hope.  Maybe it's simply because he doesn't fit nicely in to the two-party swamp.  Who knows, maybe that's why there were attempts on his life this year?  I truly believe the powerful people are concerned by his unpredictability.  God forbid he communicates with our enemies... doesn't he care about the profiteers to our war machine?  Like I said, he has very clear flaws - He definitely can come off as a buffoon, he seems to be very thin-skinned when it comes to criticism, etc.  But dear God, coming from a guy that voted Kerry, Obama, Hillary, and yes, even a demented Joe Biden, it finally got to the point where enough was enough for me.

The DNC fucked Bernie twice and basically hand-picked weak-ass candidates for too long.  If the people want a woman so bad, why didn't that party support Tulsi Gabbard?  She was a veteran.  She was the vice chair of the DNC at a very young age until she started to question them.  Oh, she's a Russian asset... that's right.  Give me a fucking break.  The country, and many former Democrats, aren't buying that shit.  This election is a clear indication of that.  And Democrats who say RFK Jr. is just a psycho... Nevermind his passion for environment and healthy children.  The party has pushed aside true Democrats and forced through dementia-riddled or lackluster puppets.  The Democrats pushed Bernie aside twice, and left the likes of Tulsi and Kennedy with no other choice but to bail on a party that no longer represents what it's used to.

Lastly, this band has had a huge impact on most of us.  I've been a fan since high school.  I was so proud to find a band that stood up and spoke out for what they believed in... In 2000, they spoke up for Ralph Nader.  They knew the two-party system was broken then.  There was no way Ralph Nader was going to win, but at 22 years old I loved the fact this band supported an underdog because that underdog stood for good (consumer protection, environmentalism and government reform to name a few).  Now we get "Ridin' With Biden" t-shirts one election and an interview on Doug Emhoff's vinyl collection the next.  It feels so out of touch.  Which I suppose that can happen when you're 3+ decades removed from any financial challenges and have a modern day net worth around $100 million (per band member).

  • This notion that just cuz someone is rich means they are out of touch is bizarre. Are they living like Kardashians? No, they are still regular people doing goid work in the world. Out of touch propke don’t soend their time building skate parks for the underprivileged. And creating a foundation and working tirelessly to find a cure for a horrendous disease. And they don’t just throw money at these things. They spend TIME.

  • Agreed, no one is leaving. People said the same thing in 2016. But most just don’t have the means. And it’s 4 years, or less if he croaks. Who knows where either party is at after that. There will be trump clones, but I don’t think anyone else captures the essence of what he captured in 2016. He didn’t do anything special on purpose. He was just a weak bully that a lot identified with.

Agree that they are doing amazing things.  100%.  I should have mentioned that originally.  Watching the videos of Jeff and the skate parks gives me goosebumps.  Seeing poor kids in a rural part of the country get an outlet is heartwarming.  Ed's support of EB, West Memphis 3, etc.  Mike and advocacy for Crohn's... But good works and political support are two different things.  If we're discussing the old argument of "the lesser of two evils" regarding the two-party system, I don't just default to the Democrats being the better option any more.  I used to... for the majority of my life.  They've lost me.

I should have made it more clear.  I was questioning people who just disregard him as a psycho.  My next line was "Nevermind his passion for environment and healthy children".  Sorry, I was typing fast and that was unclear.  I'll edit original post.

no problem...I just honestly cannot understand how either RJK or Gabbard assisted that piece of shit. It just doesn't make sense.

Hmm... maybe the DNC should've vetted her more when they had her speak at the 2012 National Convention or named her vice chair in her 30's.  Maybe they thought they nabbed another puppet who wouldn't speak out when the party strayed from their ideals.  So many of these politicians who come into power never question their powerful team again.  They're becoming wealthy, they stay in power by not ruffling any feathers... And you call out the rare folks who don't go lock step with their powerful team?  I'm seriously asking.  I've listened to her and can't help but feel the democrats lost a good one.  Once she spoke up, they absolutely tried to destroy her.  That's the game plan.

What I was looking at at 1 a.m.

Good luck, most countries have far more difficult immigration policy to navigate...
No one is going anywhere. Unless you have an excessive amount of money. Also, no country is going to open their arms to a bunch of Americans. We made our own beds…
I get really annoyed with the "I'm leaving the country" crowd. Although, if promises are kept, a lot of people will be leaving the country, but not by choice.

Why would you be annoyed by people who are considering a choice for themselves?  Did someone tell you YOU should leave the country?  No.  Please don't do criticize people feeling desperate at a time like this.  That's just not cool.
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

No... it's not just you. The number of us who DO care about such things is frighteningly small, but you're not alone.
