For most common sense Americans, it is pretty clear choice today:
Millions of illegal immigrants vs secure border Having taxpayers payoff student loans vs responsible loan repayment Boys/men playing against girls in competitive sports vs girls play against girls Rising energy costs vs drill baby drill Endless war vs peace Corrupt swamp vs drain the swamp
Trump killed the border bill, thus Trump is for open borders. Trump wants to give hand outs to corporations and billionaires at people like Philly NJ's expense. Boys/girls sports...common sense Americans don't give a shit as it affects less than 1% of the population. Energy costs have decreased. We are drilling and producing more oil than ever before. We ended the only war we were in. Previous admin was at war for four years. Donald Trump is the most corrupt politician ever in this country and if he loses, he is facing jail time.
So, yeah, agreed man! Vote Harris.
1) Neither party cares about solving the border. Democrats waiting and only did something as a political move near the end of the term as they knew it was a losing issue...trump's republicans voted against it in a political move. No one does anything to solve it, they just make political moves periodically. Both lose 2) Both sides giving away way too much of other people's $ for sure. Both lose. 3) This is another one that the dems lose biggly....it's just dumb, and to give such a huge win to Trump's party for what you say...1%....is really stupid. There is no defense. 4) The lies Trump and his party tell about the energy issue is crazy. Dems win biggly. 5) War.....Trump and his party would abandon friends...what has happened to the GOP? Weak sauce. Dems win in landslide. 6) Corruption...both have some issue, but corruption is the political love language of trump's party. Dems win biggly.
So many other issues at stake, but even with just the ones mentioned, Dems platform is better...kinda scary it is as the platform kinda sucks, but it's way better.
I'd say GOP loses bigger because they actively held off on addressing the issue in service to Donald J. Trump.
As a tax-and-spend liberal, I think both parties could do some good to cut out pork, etc. Based on history, it's a push but based on the possible immediate cuts with no regard to impact, I'd say the Dems win.
To me the Dems win on this. Not because of sports but because the GOP uses sports as the gateway to all anti-trans rhetoric. In terms of the voters as a whole, it's a win for the GOP. Harris isn't going to push transgendered women into sports.
The GOP has always been the loser on this issue.
I think they're both losers on war. I'd say the Dems are a bit more of the loser. The Dems have always been pro-war. It's just that 20 years ago, the GOP was outrageously hawkish. Now, the Dems are the hawkish party. But Trump's fealty to Russia offsets that some as they're itching to let Ukraine die.
Dems definitely win big in corruption. While corruption is a huge issue in general, the Trump administration was pretty much a Kleptocracy.

Cincy--regarding immigration, absolutely the Biden admin should have acted sooner. But the fact remains clear as day that there is a bill that would not solve every problem, but likely drastically improve the situation and it is BIPARTISAN! When does that ever happen? And Trump killed it. He fucking killed it despite that issue being the thing he claims to care about the most.

I agree with this obviously as it is a fact.
Did you read the bill? How much money to Ukraine? How many illegals crossing would they deem to be legal?
I'm still trying to understand how people resent democrats for the timing of the border bill when their hand was forced by the GOP attaching border measures to additional Ukraine funding.
Blaming democrats for the timing of that feels like revisionist history, but I'm open to hearing why I'm wrong in that understanding.
Speaking of garbage....Hmmm, too bad we can't see the context of these generously edited soundbites. You ok today? Whatever you do, don't let them convince you to go to the Capitol this time to take back America. Turn off the TV and social media and free your mind for once. Your sources are hurting your brain and quality of life.

My man...immigration seems to be a big concern for you. Yet you are voting for the guy who killed the bipartisan immigration bill.
You are voting for the wrong person.....unless, you secretly love open borders.
Cambria County is where I grew up and where the vast majority of me and my wife’s families live. I can’t wait to spend the next few weeks reminding them of how much Trump praised paper ballots during this campaign.
It’s laughable that you think you have any credibility on here. You and your ilk have lost that time and time again with lies, misinformation, ignorance, and re-posting with no concern of your content’s truthfulness.

In fairness, they'll try to close the borders now since they were keeping them open so they could complain their way into a Trump regime.

to be honest, i don't think they would fix it if trump won, because what would they run on in 2028? they have been running on immigration for 30 years.

Here you go, educate yourself. Trump has no ability for diplomacy or solving complex problems. He could never pull this off because the uneducated morons he surrounds himself with only think about physical security. Root cause analysis is only something he considers when it comes to his toupee and makeup.

This was some pretty serious 3D chess from the democrats here...
"WASHINGTON (AP) — As Congress returns to session this week, lawmakers will be trying to forge an agreement on sending a new round of wartime assistance to Ukraine. But to succeed, they will have to find agreement on an issue that has confounded them for decades.
Republicans in both chambers of Congress have made clear that they will not support additional aid for Ukraine unless it is paired with border security measures to help manage the influx of migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border. Their demand has injected one of the most contentious issues in American politics into a foreign policy debate that was already difficult."

Because this is America. It’s made up of 3 types of people. People who follow this stuff and are critical thinkers, people who did t follow any of this shit and get slices of news from various sources here and there and infer whatever because *waves arm* life, and those who are intellectually dishonest of intellectually incapable of critical thought and just hawk some message in the guise of free thinking.

When was the last meaningful legislation in regards to immigration passed?

That's a different conversation.
You claimed Democrats waited until late in the term to do something about the border as a political move. How could that be if the GOP forced their hand by tying it to the Ukraine aid?
If your claim was that democrats only did it because they were forced to, that would have merit, but putting the timing of it on the democrats does not.
Regardless of how the measures came about, one party is to blame for killing the most comprehensive border bill we've seen in decades... the same party who demanded one last November and it wasn't the democrats.

Yeah and Lankford made it very clear that his party was to blame. No one can call him a Rino.
