    I thought Ben Harper and Ed are on the outs so that is a no go - at least that is the rumor.

    I'd be happy with Run The Jewels or Killer Mike solo, Prophets of Rage or Cypress Hill, Pharcyde or The Roots with De La Soul.
    Love this out of the box thinking.  And surely the "fits the NYCH crowd" police will say no way.
    But The Roots are very very good live.  And The Roots are known to back up many different artists as well.  I mean they could have Ed come out for some songs likely.  I love The Roots.
    Not that far fetched. They were in the lineup for the OhanaEncore that never was (2022).

    And Trent and Eddie doesn’t have any known relationship? Or do they? Meaning, why would they help out and do a single gig like that
    I haven't heard of any known relationship, which makes the NIN idea seem pretty far fetched.  Still hopeful.  I think based on the known variables involved, it will be difficult to find an artist that is thought of as a "headliner".  Which is a tough situation for those that were going on Sat mainly to see Neil.  I'm not sure that the replacement will be what those fans would gravitate towards.  At least from what I've seen of the options mentioned in this thread.

    On the All That Could Have Been tour DVD, there was a bonus disc entitled "Still".
    The Still recordings are mostly acoustic, with some atmospheric stuff added.
    I highly recommend checking out NIN Still album to everyone reading this.  A cool gem.

    My oldest brother who is 65, bought tickets for Saturday just to see Neil Young and Crazy Horse. If the replacement.band is not on the classic rock level of The Who, The Rolling Stones, Roger Waters, or Sir Paul McCartney he’s gonna be real bummed.

    First time I've been lumped in with 5-0😂but I'll bite.

    I would LOVE to see just about any of the bands listed. But I'm also a realist.

    And to the surprise of some, not everyone buys a weekend pass. There are some people who bought JUST Saturday to see Neil Young & Crazy Horse on the beach in California.

    The whole day was built around them.

    Cat Power singing Dylan = folk & rock
    Glen = folk & rock
    Jenny Lewis = country & alternative rock
    Black Pumas = psychedelic rock/soul
    Turnpike = country/rock

    I would see NIN, or Jack White (again, too soon for him to return) in a heartbeat. RTJ would be cool too. But none of that is happening. Don't look at me, look at Ed🤷‍♂️

    The vibe is the vibe.

    I know Go Animal, the NYCH police wasn't directed at anyone in particular :lol:
    It's pretty much, like you said, the vibe of Sat that they will want to match, for the reasons you mention.
    I think it will be tricky though to find a headliner that also matches that Sat vibe.
    And I wonder which variable carries more weight in their decision, headliner material or matching the vibe.

    No they didn’t, Trent played solo with a string section.

    Bourbon & Beyond is announcing their Neil replacement on Monday at Noon. Be interesting to see who and if it’s possible to be the same as Ohana.

    Thanks for the heads up.  Probably a great chance that the same artist will replace Neil at Ohana also.

    Just got back from seeing Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit in Missoula. Couldn't stop thinking how great they'd be at Ohana. They rocked and Jason totally rips on guitar.
