  • I think the question should be is this just going to be a reshuffling of the lineup or are they going to replace Neil with a Neil-level act?

Just reshuffling would still leave a top act missing. Switching acts among nights would be problematic for people who did not buy all 3 nights, and may then not have a ticket for the artist they wanted to see.

Changing my wishlist up with some of these suggestions:

    - Brandi Carlile
    - Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit
    - Miley Cyrus & the Backyard Sessions Band (they've covered "Just Breathe", go check it out)
    - Chris Stapleton
    - Maggie Rogers
    - The Avett Brothers
    - John Fogerty & the Fogerty Family Band

To all the right people: make some phone calls!
Haven't heard any viable options beyond these, TBH.

    Jack White.
Just curious why he's not on that list.

I doubt they reshuffle too much if at all. Doing so doesn't resolve the main issue--you still need a Saturday headliner--and threatens ticking off people who had made plans to see certain acts on Friday or Sunday. I'm only going to the last day (family commitments keep me away days 1 and 2), obviously for PJ above all, but would be really bummed to lose Alanis (or the Breeders or the Idles or Kim Gordon). And I doubt giving one of those to Saturday folks geared up NYCH moves the needle much.

Agreed, I don't think re-shuffling is the move.  I'm going day 1 and 3, and wouldn't want to lose Garbage or Alanis.  I've seen Alanis live before and she is great.  I'm excited to see Garbage for the first time.

I love Jack/The White Stripes. Like, a lot😅but other than the fact he did it 2 yrs ago, Sat. already has a country vibe.

Jack's sound is rooted in the blues. It's just not in the cards.

Jackson Browne is a California guy, isn't touring much this year, may have some crossover appeal with Neil, and played a great aging rockstar show when we saw him last year. This is just throwing something against the wall, but Ohana could do a lot worse.

A hologram of one of his legendary performances

Hey Pearl Jam team.  This is such a solid idea.

It is getting rough out there on the road.

Josh Homme’s Emergency Surgery Forces Queens Of The Stone Age To Cancel Euro Dates

My guess for Ohana is someone local to LA. I am guessing Dead and Company and Eagles are too big and both have stopped "touring". Cage The Elephant would be ideal, but finish their tour a day before on the East Coast.

I could see Dead & Co as a possibility. I was wondering about them for Bourbon & Beyond too. These are the types of gigs they said they will continue doing, along with Mexico and Sphere of course. They seem to be enjoying playing together at The Sphere, so you never know.

I don't know what did or didn't happen years ago between them.

    https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1993-11-27-ca-61387-story.html

“I’m not going to provide the actual details of what did happen, because it’s not anybody’s business. And I’m not even the main feature of that story. I know I’m made to be an ogre and I play the role of the heavy in a story that was put out there, but it’s not true--and except for saying that, I don’t know what else to do.”

But isn’t it tempting to respond when the gossip trade is itching to bait you into a defense?

“Of course. But it may be a particular blindness of a celebrity that he’s gotta somehow keep the story straight about his own personal circumstance.

“And,” adds Browne, veteran of many crusades, “there are many other injustices that you could apply yourself to without thinking your own life is that important.”

It has to be someone who has an opening in their calendar, or someone who has no calendar.  It will have nothing to do with booking someone based on whether they also have NY vibes.  No way they’d tie themselves down with a further variable at this point.  Sorry to all the NY fans, myself included, but replacing him with a performer who fits the same lane is probably not feasible, and as a festival, you probably chalk up whatever refunds they have to give as a loss replaced by sales for whatever substitute they find.

    RATM.  Book it.

    RATM.  Book it.
RATM with turnpike troubadours opening for them… I would love to be a part of that
