To play rock and roll at that age and potentially some Mirror Ball songs with Pearl Jam…this was a last chance. Would they offer partial refund for Saturday if weekend pass purchased?
But for those of us in the US, it's a reminder of an actual news story back when Arnold was governor of California, and there was talk of making modifications so he could run for president.
All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.0 -

Anyhow, maybe the Ohana attendees will be treated to Kid Rock or Limp Bizkit. Nickleback? Creed?
The other problem is, he doesn’t really have a band anymore without Crazy Horse, Spooner Oldham and Ben Keith are dead and Promise of the Real broke up a couple months ago. Could he do solo acoustic? Sure, but is that a festival headlining set? Not really.
We all were looking forward to some possible "Mirrorball action", as I think Jeff put it. With Neil's reluctance to commit to Any shows at this time, it seems that an impromptu visit during PJ's set(s) would be more likely than actually being part of the schedule. That way he could decide last minute. That also would give Ed a break from singing, for a few. Though I'm sure he would want to be part of Neil's on-stage time.
Heck, I'd be thrilled with just 3: I'm The Ocean, Walk With Me, and RITFW. I'd be crying tears of joy the whole time.Post edited by OfThePearl on0 -

I wouldn't rule out a Neil sit-in Friday or Sunday. Anything from mirror ball would be amazing!

Its been years since I've seen them, so I don't know if they fit the criteria of headliner, but I wonder if The Wallflowers (Jakob Dylan) could reschedule their Sat 9/28/24 show in New Mexico and fill that spot at Ohana?
Their tour brings them to SoCal on 9/30 for 3 shows (9/30, 10/2, 10/4) already, so just come a couple of days early.
Jakob has worked with Neil. Jack Irons drummed for Wallflowers about 10 years ago. Cat Power is even doing a set of Bob Dylan covers that same Saturday.
Unless there's some reason I don't know about, it seems like a good fit, unless there is that clause that prohibits a festival and other shows in too close proximity.
They are also playing Bourbon and Beyond 9/22, but in an early slot. I don't know if that's because they have a night gig elsewhere, or that they were not considered big enough to headline. I really enjoyed them in the past, but it was a club sized setting, so I'm not sure.0 -
My vote would still be for Jack White, but he doesn't seem to be playing gigs this year.
* He's also worked closely with Neil, and NO question he's a headliner!Post edited by OfThePearl on0 -

So while I do feel like its most likely Alanis will just move to the Saturday headline slot, I think an older artist might be a good choice to suit the more chilled vibe. Maybe Billy Joel or even (off the wall suggestion) John Fogerty (Creedence Clearwater Revival)...

Santana puts on an amazing show and I'd imagine he would cater to NY crowd. He would have to cancel his 9/28 Vegas show, but it looks like a residancy so prob should be ok.
Counting Crows maybe, but they are in Maryland on 9/27. If they could swing it, would be decent.I'm spinning, oh-oh-oh I'm spinning0 -
