NIN is excellent, but are they too heavy? There was a mosh pit when I saw them.

I love the enthusiasm for NIN (an all-time fave for me too), but they are absolutely not going to play that Saturday. Ohana is not their vibe.

Whatever, whoever it is, is gonna have the same vibe as NYCH.

Just pouring some cold water on that🙃

I think you are putting a little bit too much stock in that, with them having to get something with 3 months to go. I think the net is wide about what kind of act to get.

Going to see Jason in a couple weeks at a 3000 seat theatre so Ohana would be a jump but he'd crush it.

I think acoustic NIN would help tone it down.

I don’t think NIN would be interested in a last minute gig which requires them “toning it down” though

And Trent and Eddie doesn’t have any known relationship? Or do they? Meaning, why would they help out and do a single gig like that

I'd be happy with Run The Jewels or Killer Mike solo, Prophets of Rage or Cypress Hill, Pharcyde or The Roots with De La Soul.

Love this out of the box thinking.  And surely the "fits the NYCH crowd" police will say no way.
But The Roots are very very good live.  And The Roots are known to back up many different artists as well.  I mean they could have Ed come out for some songs likely.  I love The Roots.

I thought Ben Harper and Ed are on the outs so that is a no go - at least that is the rumor.

Not that far fetched. They were in the lineup for the OhanaEncore that never was (2022).

I haven't heard of any known relationship, which makes the NIN idea seem pretty far fetched.  Still hopeful.  I think based on the known variables involved, it will be difficult to find an artist that is thought of as a "headliner".  Which is a tough situation for those that were going on Sat mainly to see Neil.  I'm not sure that the replacement will be what those fans would gravitate towards.  At least from what I've seen of the options mentioned in this thread.

On the All That Could Have Been tour DVD, there was a bonus disc entitled "Still".
The Still recordings are mostly acoustic, with some atmospheric stuff added.
I highly recommend checking out NIN Still album to everyone reading this.  A cool gem.
