Would love RATM, but ain't happening.

I had an idea involving The Heartbreakers, but Mike Campbell is busy🤷‍♂️
Damn, with Lucinda Williams. Nice fallback for someone who bailed on the Neil-less day.
Imagine the remaining Heartbreakers, with a who's who of singers at Ohana doing Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers tunes.

    - Ed on The Waiting & a proper Won't Back Down
    - Shirley Manson on Breakdown, or Don't Come Around Here No More
    - Alanis on American (Canadian) Girl
    - Glen on Free Fallin'
    - The Finns on Refugee
    - Cat Power doing anything from Wildflowers

And on & on & on...
Anywho, thanks for noticing Mike Campbell was out there. Now I’m seeing him and Lucinda in Salt Lake.

They would be for sure, but their current US tour ends Sept 1 and starts back up in Europe early Oct. So chances are he will already be back home overseas long before Ohana comes around.
With Euro shows starting in early Oct, Ohana might not be feasible. If he's still on this side of the of the ocean, heck yeah, Plant/Krauss would be a solid choice.

Probably not practical with his tour shortly thereafter but as someone suggested a few pages ago how great would it be if Paul McCartney subbed in.

Or, maybe David Letterman! I mean he subbed for Neil at the hall of fame.  He can give us the stand up routine in LA! (I know, Orange County, but work with me here.  Getting ready to see Billy Joel next week.)

Sir Paul's South American tour starts Oct 1. It would be great to have him, but unlikely.

Also Black Crowes, just one show out of reach. Start their tour 9/28, in Cinci. That might have worked...

Why not an Eddie Vedder solo acoustic set with appearances from some of the other artists on the weekend bill.
Then, a Pearl Jam acoustic set, like Benaroya, but add some variety by adding cover songs from Brad and other related side projects.
Close out with a full on electric ‘Rockin’ In The Free World’.
    I’d pay to see that.

^^^Because Ed singing three nights in a row isn't going to happen at his age.

The Avett Brothers had been mentioned; I saw where they're playing in San Diego in late September at the Rady Shell, I think, but I'll have to check and see where they are that weekend.

Edit: They're in Texas 9/21 and then they have a break until the San Diego show on October 6th, so that could work?

I saw them as well. That is why I know they would be incredible. They put on one of my fave shows. And Robert Smith put up a great fight with TM and actually got us some money back. I wonder what it would take to get them to play Ohana.

Went to both RHCP Toronto shows.  Haven’t scientifically confirmed on setlist fm but the two shows were comparable to two PJ shows in the same city in terms of variety of songs.  I remember leaving N1 without hearing Dani California, Otherside or Under the Bridge and assuming I’d get those N2 and I did.  Just as examples.

I’m totally in for The Cure at Ohana.
