Meanwhile, we should get info on the Pearl Jam’s May Tour on May 10th

    2024....
There will be something this year, but anything in May at this point is looking slim

It’s January 10th and the only inkling of a lead we had is gone.  There should have been SOMETHING by now if anything was legit for April or May.
I wouldn’t give up quite yet. Pearl Jam announced their April 2016 shows on January 19 of that year.

Agreed. In my speculation thread,  I've been using 2016 as a template. I think that's as hard as the band is willing to go nowadays.

I wasn't expecting anything today, other than Sonic Temple & a tour tease for next week.

Since I was wrong about ST, and like you pointed out: we didn't get any news until Jan. 19th of 2016 for that tour, I'm thinking we might get news next week, Jan. 17th.

Man god bless the Foos. Must be nice to be a huge fan of theirs.
Yeah, they play a lot of shows, but they don't really mix up their set.
I am a big fan of theirs since the original CD, but have only seen them once in 20 years of living in Tampa. So while they play a lot of shows, they don't tour near me, so I would have to travel to see them.

Me too! Love the Foos, but I'm canceling my Columbus hotel res😅
Same. I love the Foos but I am not going to Sonic Temple. Maybe Boston, though.

Awesome! I’m excited for both as I believe the rumors also seemed legit for a spring tour.  I think it was Novoselic that let it slip that Matt/PJ would be out on tour in the spring.  I may have my facts wrong, but I’m pretty sure that makes a case for a legit spring rumor.

It does. And in line at Apollo, I had somebody who is one person removed from Mike, say "April-May US"

So the speculation continues lol 😆

  • Did Novoselic specifically say Matt was needed for a TOUR or was it just that he was back on PJ duty in the Spring? Could be recording rather than touring? Hopefully both

I'm still holding out hope for Jazzfest in New Orleans. They've played 2 times since 2010 and i feel like it might happen

Look like Foos will take Jazz Fest as well. They were supposed to headline in ‘20 and it lines up with there festival run.

Then there is music. Been playing guitar around the house. Finger style in the American Primitive. Matt came over the other day and I loaded him with produce. We started plotting the next 3rd Secret record. He’s not touring with Pearl Jam until the spring, so he’s all ours!! 3rd Secret is really nowhere on the mainstream musical radar. It’s my fault as I am leading this project at this point. I have the luxury of not caring about promotion. Mainstream media is wretched, so I am keeping myself unspotted from it. Others in the group might not share my indulgence so this can change. I am not the boss of this band! Am just the one pushing to make things happen. Looks like November / soon to start the followup 3rd Secret.

  • Been in and out of the thread the last month or so, but where did the Citizens Bank Park rumors start? I mean… the rumor has been off and on since 2018/2019. But what made it pick up traction again?

I'm not sure it picked up traction, just someone else asked the same question as you so it has been talked about again. I just booked a hotel, refundable, for the first weekend of June just in case. I did notice a lot of hotels were booked pretty solid if not completely, so there's that, haha

With Gigaton they made that announcement Jan 13 2020 with shows in March.  We are not out of a window yet.  Still early in the window for April/May.  Ballpark announcements probably need to be made within the next couple of weeks.  The 2018 Home Shows were announced January 22 for August.

Can i just point out the obvious… there are no “spring tour rumors” other than the Novoselic quote.

Speculating on what you want to happen or an arena having having open dates isn’t a “rumored” tour. A rumor is hearing from building ops that dates have been held, etc. not the name of a hot dog stand across the street from where a photo was taken.

Maybe they are waiting for Jazz Fest to make their announcement before they announce a full spring tour.  Jazz fest will probably announce next Tuesday the 17th or the 24th.

Weirder things have happened, but PJ at Lolla seems more and more like a lock. No sources, no Intel. Just looking at facts, which coincide with the no Wrigley rumor.

    1. PJ has not played Lolla Chicago in 15 years.
    2. PJ has played multiple other Lolla's over the past 15 years, so it seems like they play nicely with the promoters.
    3. Metallica, Green Day, Foo Fighters, Jack White have all played Lolla over the past 2 years, making each less likely to show up in '23.
    4. Red Hots and Iggy Pop would seem like solid 2023 touring acts for adding rock credibility to Lolla..However, Iggy is in Poland on 8/4 (not a total Lolla rule out, but not very likely). The Chilis will have just wrapped a European tour on 7/24, after having played AU/NZ/Mexico/CA/US dates earlier in the year. Regardless of their rigorous touring habits, they probably need to break, and break out the Bengay at some point (not a total rule out, but Lolla doesn't seem very likely).
    5. Who else is left as a major rock touring act? 3 acts that seem even less likely: Bruce, Paul, and Da Stones.

with PJ out at Wrigley I think lolla is going to happen too. Especially if they aren’t leaving North America this year

It also seems as if whoever runs those social media accounts might have trolled us all and hoped for some "PJ fans also like some of these bands. Let's hope for their interest."

One of those photos is a coincidence.
    Two?
