Weirder things have happened, but PJ at Lolla seems more and more like a lock. No sources, no Intel. Just looking at facts, which coincide with the no Wrigley rumor.

    1. PJ has not played Lolla Chicago in 15 years.
    2. PJ has played multiple other Lolla's over the past 15 years, so it seems like they play nicely with the promoters.
    3. Metallica, Green Day, Foo Fighters, Jack White have all played Lolla over the past 2 years, making each less likely to show up in '23.
    4. Red Hots and Iggy Pop would seem like solid 2023 touring acts for adding rock credibility to Lolla..However, Iggy is in Poland on 8/4 (not a total Lolla rule out, but not very likely). The Chilis will have just wrapped a European tour on 7/24, after having played AU/NZ/Mexico/CA/US dates earlier in the year. Regardless of their rigorous touring habits, they probably need to break, and break out the Bengay at some point (not a total rule out, but Lolla doesn't seem very likely).
    5. Who else is left as a major rock touring act? 3 acts that seem even less likely: Bruce, Paul, and Da Stones.

RHCP are heavily rumored for Lolla Chicago this year unfortunately.

I'm not going to lie... I like the Jazz fest idea.  Lines up with the April/May timeframe (aka Novoselic's Leak) and it's in the south.  I like the south idea for the spring.  I'm on board with this one!

90% chance the boys are locked in for Sonic Temple. Just a matter of which day...

when you call sonic temple a “90% lock” based off nothing? 🤣🤪

the only salt here is the pillars upon which your rumors are based…

Hey, I admit I got Sonic Temple wrong. But two social media posts that hinted at PJ was worth talking about.

Which is what we're doing here. Just talking.

You're TRYING to get one over on me, or hoping for a dopamine rush from a heavily-workshopped zinger (bet it took you 3 hrs minimum to come up with "pillars of salt" as a comeback).

BUT here's a secret, and I'm gonna whisper it as not to disturb our boardmates...

"I don't give a s**t. Not about youuuu, or what you think."

:pats head: now... run along, sport!🥱

The Sonic Temple social media hints weren’t “nothing”.   They were worth posting here and seemed promising.

Regardless, Go Animal is helping to keep us all engaged and generate some enthusiasm as we wait for information on the tour.  There’s no trolling going on here… it’s all good speculative fun and I really appreciate the effort he puts in on these threads!

Agreed.  If we waited around for "actual rumors" - this thread would be buried in page 37 of The Porch.  A social media hint, especially for a related venue or festival (promotor relations, bands history, etc) is as good as its going to get for the most part these days.  They tend to play the same kinds of festivals and tour in very predictable patterns, so educated guesses can often be made.  Appreciate the work everyone puts in to finding these clues, even if wrong.

Appreciate the love guys🤗at the end of the day, like on2legs said, I'm just trying to keep people enthusiastic. And like Weston said, news is harder to come by nowadays.

If nothing else, MAYBE this stuff helps some Faithfull save on refundable air fare & hotels (let alone help them plan their time off) by getting SOME (or any) dates right.

Til then, the waiting drives us mad lol

Big fan of Dimi (I, too, love Deep live. Also, I try not to step on his toes when it comes to setlist threads), but I hear he's a busy man, so I shan't be a bother.

Totally valid. BUT, I don't see Ed doing Earthlings shows without Chad. He's "the boss" & "the engine" according to Ed, lol. There was an article that came & went about Iggy's tour. He has his own offshoot of the Earthlings, The Losers.
Iggy & The Losers are Iggy Pop, Duff McKagan, Josh Klinghoffer, Andrew Watt (live your best life, bro!) and Chad Smith.
    So, that makes Chad's schedule:
    • JAN 14 - K-Rock AlterEgo - Los Angeles, CA, w/RHCP
    • JAN 21 - Auckland, NZ, w/RHCP
    • JAN 26 - Dunedin, NZ, w/RHCP
    • JAN 29 - Brisbane, w/RHCP

I thought The Losers were Howard Stern, Gary Dell'Abate, Scott Salem, etc. Ha.

If we look at anything that makes remote sense, we can kind of begin to put pieces together when rumors fall apart.

With the Foos playing Ohio in late May, it's probably safe to assume PJ won't be anywhere in the vicinity in late May, amirite?

With these Philly rumors not dying, if someone heard something solid about a show/shows in the area, maybe it gives Philadelphia more traction.

    Stuttering John!
And yeah, I think you're right about territory. The PJ & FF camps are friendly, and try not to step on each other's toes. So, maybe my FL/east coast speculation isn't far off?
