Well, one way to sell seats is to bring the buildings down on the first 4 shows with long and amazing sets. The Band can create FOMO pretty easily. It feels like there is this uneasy feeling on the forums that what we got in 2021 is the new norm.
FYI the Amtrak from Oakland to Fresno is an easier journey than driving. I've taken that route many times if anyone has any questions. From Fresno you can also take Amtrak to the Sacramento show, or back to the bay of course.

That is what I am doing. Drops me off in Emeryville and catch a bus to San Francisco

Awesome, enjoy the views, that route is really pretty along the coast and through the Delta.

Awesome! Do you know which side is best to sit on from Fresno to San Fran?

What are you going to do the two days in between Oakland and Fresno? That thought didn’t occur to me before I stupidly bought tix for Fresno.
It just amazes me the availability of tickets in California - Fresno especially. PJ should have played the East coast and saved the real fans the hassle and cost of flying. $850 flight alone.

I'm visiting family that happens to live near Fresno, so it works out for me. There's so much to do in CA it's easy to find stuff to check out, between the bay area and Yosemite you could spend several days and not get bored.

Not sure what you mean by real fans, but I think folks in this thread pretty much covered the reasons why the low ticket sales. combo of short notice on the added shows/covid/Fresno being an out of the way destination and on Monday. I'm stoked for the show, I think we're all in for a great night.

Real fans booked their flights before they got so expensive.

The real fans? What an absurd comment.
I died. I died and you just stood there. I died and you watched. I died and you walked by and said no. I'm dead.

I’m such a real fan I booked my flights before they even announced the tour. 😎😎

I have a friend that moved to Fresno. She is 15 min from the arena. Fresno natives are not your typical PJ demographic. And to get to Fresno from SF is a pain in the ass, it was like a 3-3.5 hr drive. The same as driving NYC to Baltimore. But to go to Fresno. There is really no reason to go to Fresno as a tourist. It’s a farming town.
Even though my friend lives there, I’m not going to the Fresno show. Too much of a pain in the ass to get there. It’s in the middle of nowhere.
Man, I wish had these problems. If a show is within a 3-3.5 hr drive from me, I'm 100% going. When OKC showed up on the list for 2020, I was ecstatic: 3:25 from my house? Woohoo!! Even St. Louis (5+ hours) is a no-brainer for me.
To clarify I live in NY so 6 hour flight… then 4 hr drive! Pass.

Growing up in San Jose we used to dump on Fresno all the time. The usual stuff "Bakersfield without the charm", "cowboys and meth". I am sure it had nothing to do with FSU annually beating the Spartans in football.

I lived in Bakersfield my freshman college summer 40 years ago working at El Torito. Worst summer of my life 😂

Had to.
Edit: wait one more - we were stuck in traffic near the Fresno arena due to Monster Jam. Monster. Jam. Get to the arena early folks.
