Did you read the article for more context or just respond to the headline? The actual poll question relates to potential charges for those who refused mandatory vaccination if there was a vaccine mandate, which is a different issue than just "the unvaccinated" currently.

Every medical professional knows that—certainly one who's been in the racket as long as he has—and they’ve known it for centuries. He knew he was lying. Why else add that little nugget about it stopping a droplet?
We can argue about the reasoning and morals behind it—for instance, I understand the why but don't buy his explanation (see: every medical professional has known for centuries that wearing face masks of any kind that cover your nose and mouth help to mitigate spreading infectious respiratory illnesses)—but some folks are bending over backwards to say that he didn't know the facts because of the evolving nature of the disease and science, etc.

Did you read the article for more context or just respond to the headline? The actual poll question relates to potential charges for those who refused mandatory vaccination if there was a vaccine mandate, which is a different issue than just "the unvaccinated" currently.

It found two-thirds of Canadians are in favour of mandatory vaccines for everyone over the age of five. Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos said earlier this month that mandatory vaccinations are on the horizon, and something that provincial governments should be discussing.
The poll also asked about various punitive measures for those who would refuse a mandatory vaccination. Thirty-three per cent of the survey respondents said it would be acceptable to not allow them to renew their drivers’ licence.
Another 37 per cent said it would be ok to refuse to “allow them access to any publicly funded hospital/medical services.” More than a quarter, 27 per cent, said it would be acceptable to make them serve up to five days “as part of a jail sentence for endangering others/overwhelming (the) healthcare system.”
