This escalated quick, went from taxing to jailing the unvaccinated…next week, maybe tar and feather, or a UV tattooed on them…
Fuckin ridiculous
That Canadians have opinions?
This was a "Feckless" response...
Ha,ha, whoop da dooey. Post of the day.
I made myself crack up at your expense. Childish? Yes. But a laugh is a laugh.
Is a laugh, is a laugh but if you had any............you'd finish the quote. Then I'd laugh again too.
Your making it personal which is going to get this thread closed.
It was a joke and nothing malice was said. If it gets shut down for that and not the other things that go on here that would be funny too.
Thread integrity:
The thought of a surcharge per month to a non vaccinated person is an interesting thought. Not sure how one would get away w implementing that but interesting.

I didn’t make it personal. Your ire is misdirected. Why are you offended?

You sent that to the instigator too, I assume?
Who cares, lets move on. The joke was bad, the after back and forth is worse...
And Trudeau deserve plenty of criticism like raising carbon taxes and giving politicians raises during a pandemic when so many are suffering…but nice that some of you folks lives are so great you do feel the impacts of the pandemic…especially the medical and financial hardship that people are facing because of the federal and provincial government incompetence…

I posted it in the wrong thread. I joined in 2018. Since Trudeau was elected and has been PM since 2015…
BC's provincial health officer announced today that we will no longer to contact tracing and should assume we have all been exposed and monitor ourselves for any symptoms daily, which is essentially what I and I think many of us are doing already.
Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry indicated a significant shift in B.C.’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic on Friday, saying everyone should assume they’ve been a close contact and that contact-tracing is no longer effective.
Because of the Omicron variant, Henry said the province is treating COVID more like the common cold.
“We cannot limit all risk. It is part of what we will be living with. We can use all the layers of protection,” she said, such as following public health guidance, getting vaccinated, washing hands, wearing good quality masks indoors, keeping groups small and using the vaccine card program to manage risks. She said we should all assume that we have been a close contact, and to self-monitor for signs of the virus every day.
As long as someone is feeling well, they can continue to go to school, work and daycare, Henry added, but but everyone should have a low threshold for changing plans and staying home.
“We are clearly not in a place where it’s endemic right now,” she said. “What we’re doing is adjusting to the changes that we’ve seen from the new variant.”
this is the route that our MB is heading towards....they announced a week or two ago they were no longer looking at containment, but management. Which I think is the right move. it's just not possible anymore.
Unruly, maskless passenger forces London-bound flight to return to Miami
About 500 miles into the journey, the flight had to turn back as the customer refused to comply with the federal mask mandate
Though the outcome was dramatic in this case, such unruliness has become
commonplace. “This is happening every day now,” Sara Nelson, president
of the national flight attendants’ union, told the Guardian
in October after a man, asked to wear a mask and stop talking on his
phone, flew into a rage, stormed out of his seat and threatened to break
someone’s neck.
In fact, it’s happening about 16 times a day. That’s according to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) records,
which lists 5,981 unruly passenger reports last year. A total of 4,290
of those were listed as “mask-related incidents”. This year – mere 20
days old – has already seen 151 incidents, 90 of which were mask related, though the FAA says the figure has dropped by about half since early 2021.

The solution? Permanently bar anyone doing this from ever being allowed to fly on a commercial airline.

3 people in my province are in the ICU being treated for covid. That is not one floor or in one hospital. That is province wide. 3 people. And I still am not allowed to see my mother today.
This wave is really rough. Next door got it, across the street got it and we had it all within about a week of each other (we haven’t been hanging out together). Know of about 4 friends of my wife’s family that died in the last 2 weeks (some vaxed, some not). My kids’ school shut down this week due to numbers in class. My wife’s parents both just tested positive. Luckily they’re very healthy for their age and vaxed, so not too concerned for them. But this is all within about 2 weeks. Looking pretty crazy right now. Won’t be surprised to see more cancelation.

After my Mom's hubby died, I followed a lot of the rules so I could avoid potential guilt. It's a good time for elders to lower contacts for a couple weeks.

So I went on this fabulous 2-week Mediterranean cruise at the end of summer 2019. Came home and our hamster was gone. Took the kid to the grocery store and asked the pet sitter find the carcass which didn't show up. Told the kid hamster was on the weekend vacation with pet sitter and I bought another one. It wasn't female, but my kid didn't notice his balls. Hamsters have big balls.
A couple days later I see a note on the mailbox, someone found a hamster. I call, someone else claimed the hamster. I asked for a quick switch since we went to a different city to find the female. Got her hamster back and well two months later confessed.
Hamster has since died and I don't need to worry about finding stats before vaccinating her. Turns out there are more than two things in this world that smell like fish.
