Pearl Jam fans are a passionate group. Let's leave room here for dissenting opinions, be they about Josh, COVID or polls about pooping at work.

Wait I didn't read the thread, who's this Josh person?
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

The dude who had not turned down the lights in the Evenflow music video, and then went on to produce Gigaton.

  • I never saw him onstage once. Where was he? I was right of the stage but pretty close where I had a great view…but couldn’t see behind Stone. Is that where he was?

I wonder why the headphones? I wouldn't think there were any backing tracks to play to for SBWM.

I met with Josh professionally many years ago.  He was a very nice kid at the time.

Even to this day, he remembers me by name and always comes up to say hello when we see each other at gigs.

I wouldn’t complain if Josh did a whole PJ tour.

Been following him since 04.  Incredible musician.  Love his singing too.

To be honest I’d be fine if he was on future records.  If PJ is going to change id want them to expand rather than drop members.

So cool to see Chad Smith and Josh happy together on stage. Josh understood how his spot in RHCP was as placeholder for John Frushiante.

funny how it didn't even occur to me that they were on stage together after he got fired from rhcp.

  • It doesn't seem like it will even be a huge thing, just some occasional extra instrumentation while Josh is touring with the band.  I doubt Josh will end up being like Boom considering he has his own career and won't be touring via opening for PJ exclusively

Idk I could see him being more of a mainstay.  I don’t think the band tours enough to really slow down his solo work significantly.

Word.  It doesn’t seem to be a popular opinion, but let’s get him in the studio with them too!

I am down for whatever the band is interested in. After 30 years I think they've earned the right to do whatever the fuck they want, whenever the fuck they want to do it.

Which I am totally down for if that does occur, I think that everyone seems stoked about it currently and I like what I have heard so far.  I think Gigaton is proof that the band going for new things gives them some fresh and badass results
