Kind of weird with Josh having been the guitarist of RHCP but is now standing behind the amps in shadows of a Pearl Jam concert, playing guitar in his own shielded world not to be noticed. Hehe.
"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"
I love it. It’s such a great gesture and he’ll add a lot to their live sound, especially with backing vocals.
Agreed. Maybe they are working on having their own E-Street Band.
I think it is like when Eddie brought that string quartett with him on his solo tour or bringing up Glen for a few songs. A spur of the moment, one off with Pluralone being the opening band anyways.

PJ had a one for a few shows back in 2010 right? Slow Lukin? Just Breathe?

2009 that must have been. At the Spectrum shows etc.

The Peppers did him dirty, this is a good pick up for PJ. Should be fun.
Quadruple ax attack. Lets go!
Meh… I don’t think they did him dirty at all. I think it’s pretty known that John has an open door invitation whenever he wants. It’s not ideal but the musical connection John has with Flea and Anthony is insane
Eddie is in his fifties. Bringing in someone who can help with not only vocals but instrumental aspects as well is a huge plus for the band.
As someone said before, If this can help make songs like Habit and Blood continue to be possible, I’m all for it. Crazy to expect Eddie to be able to perform those kinds of songs solo forever.
if he also gets involved in song writing it could mean more great and diverse songs like Dance of C in the future, which I would also welcome (even though I thought Dance of C was kind of meh live)

IDK. Its kinda a bad look to boot out your current guitarist who's been holding it down just because you had a chance to reunite the classic lineup.
Also sounds like Josh was held back creatively in the Peppers. I quite liked the records he did with them though and look forward to the Peppers next steps. People are weird and we’ll always have limited info to make opinions on. Just glad Josh is working and happy.
